On page 32. I thought straight away I was getting ‘Stoner‘ vibes ( that may all change ) , then a person called Stoner was mentioned( on page 20 ). Anyway , Loving this , the quality of the writing is wonderful, the detail.

#PersephoneClub All these have arrived for our coming year .. I must still get Princes in the Land.
But no Greengates 🤷‍♀️ and I ordered that first ... I‘m starting to doubt myself, I‘m sure I ordered it ! How is everyone fixed ??? ... I‘m getting Greengates on kindle for now ...

Im going to reboot a photo i posted last year and my first persephone which told the story of a couple who come to terms the husbands retirement from his 9to5 job in London - interesting as i noticed that there is film out of journeys end.

I've broken into my father's day beers as i read my first persephone book, they are lovely, and so far im enjoying this story set in 1925 of a man retiring from work. I've ordered a second hand copy of persephone book no1 thinking i may start building a collection!

My last post tonight is the arrival of my first persephone title following its discussion on 'tea or books' podcast.

saresmoore You listen to some good podcasts! I don't own any Persephone books. How is it in person? 7y

andrew61 @saresmoore i have a 40 mins drive to work so i listen in the car and occasionally i also go out places sara so generally listen to podcasts and there are lots of gr8 book based ones, jenny was 1 of the first persons i followed on litsy so i suppose i owe my fun here to a podcast ! I've not read a persephone yet and even though 2nd hand it is lovely object, i think they tend to print forgotten classics. I'll let you know if its a gd experience 7y
