Wait for It | Mariana Zapata
13 posts | 24 read | 12 to read
If anyone ever said being an adult was easy, they hadn't been one long enough. Diana Casillas can admit it: she doesn't know what the hell she's doing half the time. How she's made it through the last two years of her life without killing anyone is nothing short of a miracle. Being a grown-up wasn't supposed to be so hard. With a new house, two little boys she inherited the most painful possible way, a giant dog, a job she usually loves, more than enough family, and friends, she has almost everything she could ever ask for. Except for a boyfriend. Or a husband. But who needs either one of those?

This might be Mariana Zapata's slowest burn yet! And a delicious one at that! A cinnamon roll through and through with just a pinch of Alpha to add some zing, Dallas is definitely my favorite hero she's written so far. And Diana and her boys could steal anyone's heart!

I had plans to be productive, but then Zapata surprise dropped her new book. I guess cleaning the bathroom can wait 💁🏻‍♀️

That-Bookish-Hiker I just bought this book too! I‘m currently reading another book but I‘m tempted to put it on hold and read this. I just love her books. 2y
Lindsy @That-Bookish-Hiker that‘s exactly what I did! I figure I‘ll finish this today so it won‘t push the other one back. Which one of hers is your favorite? 2y

I usually don‘t like slow burn romances, sometimes authors draw it out for too long. But with this author I find that I don‘t mind the slow burn. She writes them pretty well and keeps me interested in the story and characters.

I liked this book because I really like Diana. She was a great strong female character trying to raise her nephews while dealing with her grief after her brother has passed.

I brought this to work to finish before the kids arrived! It was so good, Zapata is a master of the slow burn. This book was great and you got to see characters from Winnipeg and Kulti as well #romantsy

JuliaQuinn I liked this one a lot! 3y

My love for Mariana Zapata can likely be explained by my hatred of instalove and affection for grumpy heroes. Wait For It does not disappoint on either of those. The main characters do not like each at first and the journey towards their feelings changing feels real. The two children were written like actual children and made my heart ache in all the best ways. #romantsy

Slow burns are the best burns. Not quite as good as WW&M but still great. The kids are the cutest, and I loved all the cameos from previous books.

Love how this author writes. Another love story that's such a slow burn, but oh so good...and the feels and the laughs and some tears. So funny listening to her thoughts and her running commentary to herself. I was glued to the pages wanting to know what's going to happen next. Slow but steady he wormed himself to my heart with his thoughtfulness, his caring, his faithfulness, his awesomeness. At the end, I really can't help but love him.
