Is this true? 😆 #LitsyHumor

Chelleo True for me! I‘ve been told Cincinnati is “the south”. 🤣🤣🤣 6y
LaraReads Pretty much! ? I use y'all for 2+ and probably "all y'all" for 4+ 6y
jpmcwisemorgan Yup. I use y‘all and all y‘all like @LaraReads. 6y

Drnkpnkprincess Hahahahah my in-laws are from NC and they ALL say y‘all and all y‘all... somehow I‘ve picked it up even living in AZ 🤦🏼‍♀️💀 6y
Kappadeemom As a True Southern Belle, I can officially say it is true :) 👍🙋🏼‍♀️ 6y
Librariana Yessir! I'm from yee-haw country (a.k.a. Texas)(although currently in Illinois) and can verify/testify. And it's "y'all", not "ya'll". I've had to correct folks! ? 6y
rjsthumbelina Yep! I use y'all quite frequently. I don't use "all y'all" very often. I am from an hour south of StL, but have family from southern MO 6y
RebL Nope. I use y‘all to refer to any group, including a subset of a group. “All y‘all” is every person in every group within a larger group. It‘s not about individual numbers but rather to define the larger group. “Y‘all young‘uns get to setting the table, and all y‘all best wash your hands before supper.” 6y
MallenNC Here in North Carolina that's pretty accurate 6y
Eggs That's correct all y'all, in Texas 6y
Emily92Bibliophile Texas = accurate 6y
kylienoele Yes! 😂👏🏻 6y
Lcsmcat @RebL Exactly how I (NC born and bred) use it. 6y
bookwrm526 Pretty much, except I never actually say All Y‘all unless I‘m angry with said group of 5 or more 6y
melbeautyandbooks This is true in TX. 6y
tonyahoswalt True in Louisiana 6y
Titania From the perspective of a former Mississippian, "all y'all" is redundant. Y'all is all that is needed. ?(And such a great, gender-neutral word! I love hearing y'all make inroads in the West!) 6y
eraderneely I mostly agree with @RebL , “all y‘all” is usually “each and every one of y‘all”, although sometimes I use it for a big group 6y
Schuhbox In tx, yep! 6y

Well I just figured out I can type an em dash on the iPhone 😀Life complete (it's the little things).

Tanner Oooh, thanks for the tip! Yay — it works! 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa Now I'm hovering my finger over all of them and seeing what else is hidden in there! 7y

lamaman2boys … ellipsis too!! @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I just did the same thing! 7y
AlaMich I have a super trick I just learned last week, tho' it only works on a 6s or later. If you press firmly on the keyboard (the letters will disappear and you will only see blank keys), it becomes a trackpad and is a super accurate way of moving the cursor around, much better than the stupid magnifying glass. 7y
Redjewel_7734 @AlaMich so cool 😎 7y
Redjewel_7734 @LauraBeth 😲🤓☺️ 7y
Titania -•— Sorry. I couldn't help but try it! …¿¡‘…! 7y
WhatDeeReads Oh this is great! 7y
rubyslippersreads — I had to try it too! 😄 7y
Texreader Yay! I'll have to try it too I'm a huge em dash devotee. 7y
drokka And thanks to you I now know how to do bullets too. 7y
Donna_sBookMinute Oh wow. I've been typing two dashes. But I think they combine into one? Oh boy — it's on now! Thanks. 7y
Donna_sBookMinute  @drokka — You the REAL MVP! 7y
Desirai THANK YOU! 7y
LauraBeth @AlaMich You just improved my life 😘 7y
Lindy You have made my day! Thank you. So much love for the m-dash over here. 😀😀😀 7y
AlaMich @LauraBeth Glad to help! 😊 7y
Tanner @AlaMich That's a great trick - so much easier than the magnifying glass. Thanks! 7y
AlaMich @Tanner I know, right?! I'm a nerd that way and I thought I knew all the tips, but that one got by me til just now 7y

My mother looked at this quickly and gasped. 😳 She said it wasn't appropriate to have on my phone. I told her to look closer. 👀 Then she sighed and said it was completely appropriate. Once a teacher, always a teacher. 🤓#fact

Looks like @MrBook has a British cousin. Apparently a gentleman in Bristol has been removing inappropriate apostrophes and placing them where they are missing on public signs. He's been at this for over a decade. Glad to know Americans aren't the only ones mangling the language!
