All of a sudden, someone threw me in front of this rock and roll band. And I decided then and there that was it. I never wanted to do anything else.

As many of you know I lost someone dear to me—Janice Williams—this weekend. She lived a rich life; she roomed with Janis Joplin at UT and remembered music jams with Kris Kristofferson. Her stories were fun; I‘m sure she learned little at UT. Fortunately she was smart. We met in her golden years when she became my legal secretary. No one was more loyal. We loved each other‘s company; talked books, crafted together. Sadly I don‘t have a pic ⬇️
My first book on Janis.
She's a hoot!
Very interesting book written by her Little sister
Janis ❤️❤️❤️✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Laura gives a great perspective into the life of her sister Janis. This is another nonfiction that had a very readable flow to it. I enjoyed this read a lot and am eagerly awaiting the moment that I find the time to read Buried Alive, another nonfiction about Janis Joplin.
100 pages to be read by Monday.....I think I can I think I can.... Have some fish crackers, tea, and my electric blanket to assist in this endeavor.

I read Jackie After Jack by Christopher Andersen and about 100 pages of Love, Janis by Laura Joplin.
Still have about 200 pages of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix left which I‘m currently trying to finish before getting back into Love, Janis.
Tome Topple TBR goals:
1: Finish Jackie After Jack by Christopher Andersen
2: Finish Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
3: Start Love, Janis by Laura Joplin

As a teenager of the 90s, I read this book as I listened to Janis' music. Although, the book is not in her words, her sister is the next best thing. I've read and re-read the book several times over the last 20 years and each time, I'm transported back in time with Janis.
