So this is very long and a bit of a trek through the story of the Russian Revolution but it is also an epic story of love, loss and family. It genuinely made me feel a lot of different things towards all of the characters. Definitely worth the effort!

Inspired by recent events in the world I've decided to make Feminist February a reading challenge: to read books with intersectional feminist values and learn more about the issues they deal with. You can read my blog post on it at seeorange.wordpress.com. These are the books on my TBR for the month #feministfebruary

This was a really interesting exploration of madness. The style was personal and anecdotal making it entertaining but sometimes difficult to follow and engage with. It was a refreshing voice however and I am glad I persevered as it got better as I went on. I would definitely recommend!

This was interesting but I couldn't decide whether it felt like a rehash of Falling Man or an extension of its ideas. The first half was dense but that's the atmosphere he deliberately builds. It is still incredibly clever and thought provoking but not as much fun as White Noise.

Mjk20a But what can be as fun as White Noise??? I agree more then just Falling Man, an extension and rehashing of many of his ideas. 8y

A retelling of The Tenant of Wildfell Hall this book was utterly brilliant in capturing the core idea but updating it to a modern setting and making it relevant in today's world. It was gripping, entertaining and did justice to Anne Bronte's original work.
