45⭐️ As Samsa awoke in what looked like a normal working day, he soon realized that he has transformed into a gigantic bug. In a simple but yet thought provoking novella, Kafka depicts alienation and changes a family undergoes after life altering changes.

3 ⭐️ That book is all about the tense atmosphere. Dark. Gritty. Troubled. Clare is on the run. She finds herself in the small town of Blackmore, where everyone knows everybody. She soon start asking questions about Shayna's recent disappearance. Her inquiries doesn't go unnoticed. Everyone seems to hide something..

3⭐️ I'm usually really found of Moriarty's work. But this book didn't do it for me. The back stories were not as strongly built and engaging compared to her previous works. It's the story of 6 adults and 3 children whom their lives took a drastic turn during an afternoon backyard barbecue. What really happened at the said barbecue? Follows a journey of intertwined stories slowly building up on the impact of the incident on their lives.

5⭐️ Such a beautiful and wonderfully written book. Everything is so breath taking about that story. The characters. The description. The writing. The storyline. Emotional and slightly heart breaking historical fiction about WWII in which the story is depicted with alternating perspectives.

4⭐️ Perfect book for geeking out 🤓 We're in 2044 and the world is now mostly connected to a virtual game called the OASIS. The day the fonder dies, a big tournaments begins in which the winner would inherit all his valuable belongings. There's more in this book than trivia from the '80s. It also depicts what the world would look like if virtual reality took control over our real physical life.

3.5 ⭐️ A plan crashed. Only two survive. A young boy, the only heir of a media empire and a forgotten, once prosperous, artist that was aiming for a comeback. Between speculations, lies and the quest of understanding what really happen is an overview about what happens behind all disasters. Conspiracy. Government implication. Media role in general public perception. A great, fast paced read!

4 ⭐️ This book storyline was quite intriguing. The intrigue came out as something really unexpected and surprising. It all started with the innocent 19 years old Anne whom came from a wealthy family. Early set to marry a promising well-off but despicable man she soon start a secret relationship with Fub, the family' butcher. You soon realize that past histories hardened young & innocent Anne into a ruthless young adult.

3 ⭐️ Still debating if that book is very depth or slightly degrading. still a powerful read about an insecure overweight teenage girl growing up to become a slim, beautiful but yet unhappy adult. An honest and witty portrayal of struggling with body image and society pressure.

4.5⭐️ This book might be a controversial read. Wavy, the daughter of a meth dealer, grew up with negligent parents. When she was just a child, she had to take care of herself and her little brother. Until she meets Kellen. An older, guy, who happens to work for her father. They soon developed an unconventional relationship, caring for each other in a world of loneliness & debauchery. Remarkable read that will certainly be remembered!

3⭐️ Picked this book because I enjoy Moriarty's books. Not her best one so far, kept my interest enough with her slow pace signature writing style. However, in the hypnotist's love story it builds up but then nothing. I liked the premise of the book. The story of Ellen O'Farell & her new flame. Whom she soon discover had a stalker. What I did like about that book was the exploration of both the life of the stalker and the one being stalked.

3 1/2 ⭐️ Welcome to le cirque des rêves, where two rivalling magicians compete in a creative battle. A fierce duel for which they have been train since their youth. This books sparkles mainly with its lush imagery and dreamy description of a mysterious circus, its tents, performers & diners. Unfortunately, the storyline doesn't live up to it's beautifully written prose. #thenightcircus #circus #morgenstern
