I loved this book so very, very much. Now I need more Georgian, Russian, and Slavic literature.

I‘ve been wondering how a midwife might solve mysteries, because we do all the time. :-) Looking forward to how it‘s done here.

OK, if I ever quit being a midwife, I‘m going to get my long-fantasized-about degree in library science. Librarian and midwife — two subversive vocations.

Is this book triggering to anyone else? No? Just me with the prepper, fundamentalist, delusional family members and the midwifery and the fear of prosecution? It had such a benign-looking cover. Comfort read after this one.

Been reading a lot of hard things lately. Good, but hard. Maybe a comfort read next?

Lovely book. My favorite story was the last one, "The Third and Final Continent."

Haven't watched the movie. Think the end might have been spoiled for me. But reading it anyway.

What is a misfit to do? I could not look away from this strange, beautiful book, especially as I examine what it means not to hide one's true self from the world.

Clear, friendly instructions for soapmaking. Today's soap is cold-processed pure vegetable oils, with juniper berry, bergamot, basil, and patchouli. Pure sunshine.
