This was ANNOYING to begin with but I‘m so glad I stuck it out because it came back around amazingly

Plenty of #narcissism in this thriller where more than one character thinks she can get away with anything. Loved it! Thanks to @Eggs & @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks for these fun #FeelintheLove prompts. I reached my vacation goal of posting every day in February. Probably take a break now. LOL.

Probably one of my least favourite Freidas. It was however a good palette cleanser after a heavy series.

Another great thriller from Freida McFadden! It was a great listen with lots of twists & turns! I definitely didn‘t see the end one coming! I liked how the narrator changed her tone & inflection of voice between the two POVs so that you knew which character it was. Another thriller set among a bunch of moms in suburbia & it was entertaining. If you‘ve liked her other books, you will like this one! & the end is a total shock!

I‘ll tell you a secret shall I? This may not be high and fancy literature but it‘s a page turner with plenty of twists. Perfect for a plane or train journey or a rainy afternoon. My first from this author and I‘ll be reading more of hers.

4/15/24. Another amazing book by Freida!! Read in 3 days!!

I had to bail on this one. This is the third book of Freida McFadden‘s that has had this narrator. Her narration is almost like nails on a chalkboard for me. She sounds like a kindergarten teacher reading to her students. Ugh! (Nothing against kindergarten teachers.😊)

YouTube baking sensation April Masterson knows the secret to the perfect gooey brownies and key lime squares that will melt in your mouth. But if you watch her offline, you may find out some other secrets about her, like where did her son go when he snuck out of the house? What was she doing with the local soccer coach behind fogged windows? What‘s buried in her backyard? Everyone has secrets. Some are worse than others.

Where did April's son go when he snuck out of the house? What was April doing with the local soccer coach behind fogged windows? Wha is buried in her backyard? Everyone has secrets. If you keep watching April, you may find out some secrets about April. Secrets she'd rather you didn't know. April's secrets are enough to destroy her.

This reminded me of Desperate Housewives so much and I wonder if Bree was the inspiration for April. I thought this was really good. I didn‘t put everything together and really liked the twist. I didn‘t love the ending in this one. It almost didn‘t make sense to me, but it was still good. I really enjoyed the story and it was a quick read!

Not my favorite of her books, but she still got me with a surprise in the end.

A wife/mother/YouTuber with secrets. Given the blurb, this isn't something I would normally pick up because this isn't the type of plot I'm normally interested in, but - this author has quickly become an automatic yes for me! I didn't connect with any of the characters, and yet - I couldn't put it down! Bonus points for the nasty little twist McFadden put at the end to sink the dagger of surprise deep between the reader's shoulder blades.

A 5 star book I read for the bookly readathon!
