Goldilocks and the Three Bears, retold/illus. By Jan Brett is a TL story that‘s great for RT. This is a retelling of the original tale, and includes beautiful, and detailed illustrations, which really tell the story. It turns out that the bears love his apples, so JA plants seeds for each of the bears, and for the years to follow, he is able to feed the bears. TY Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parrish, illus. By Barbara Siebel Thomas is great for LC in lower grades. This is a silly book about a maid who does all of her chores quite literally. While she works, she destroys clothes, ruins things and makes messes, but in the end she is still well loved by her friends. DrSpalding Neat resource. I like the idea of mood sticks. Realizing that you are teaching little human beings, there are a variety of emotions that you as a teacher will have to deal with. This is a great book to share with students to let them know that these emotions are normal and that handling them in an appropriate way is something that they will learn over time. 7y
