3 🌟 Eh. I love to swim, and I probably felt exactly like this child when I was young and in the water. But it just felt flat. The book tries at time to rhyme or to have a cadence, but frequently fails. It uses long lists of synonyms to get a point across that could be done with one word. Just not for me.

Cleo is almost 9 and just decided that she is going to be afraid of rain and thunder. She keeps looking up at the ceiling and shaking. When we don‘t have enough sympathy for her she runs to the bathroom to hide. PurpleTulipGirl We have used Thundershirts to some success. Rescue Remedy has been helpful for some of my friends. Dogs are sensitive to noise and pressure changes. It‘s hard to soothe them without encouraging the behavior. (edited) 4y

katy4peas @PurpleTulipGirl Oh, thanks for the suggestions. We been hesitant about the thunder shirt causing her more anxiety because she doesn't like to wear things like that.. and I don't know anyone who actually uses one. Rescue Remedy is new to me, but I like that idea as well. 👍 Thunder never bothered her, but she must have had a bad experience when she was home alone at some point and now it freaks her out and seems to be getting worse. 4y

PurpleTulipGirl It might be helpful to try her in the thunder shirt when it‘s not storming, to see if she‘d like it. Treats help. Rescue Remedy can help mellow her out a smidge, as might CBD stuff if you live where that‘s legal. (Disclaimer: Not a vet, just sharing what I‘ve experienced and heard from friends.) 4y
