Summer 1974 - an astrologer gives Ann Rule a letter which predicts when the next killings will take place. There is a pattern of the moon forces when Bundy attacked the girls when the moon is moving through Taurus, Pisces and Scorpio.

Detective Robert Keppel became the chief Investigator.

Question 9 - Do you believe that the moon patterns could predict when Bundy would attack his victims?

Cinfhen Not really, that was a cool coincident. Because I‘m pretty sure there were plenty of killings that fell outside the pattern. But it made me think about the Zodiac Killer. What a crazy time the 70s were. The introduction of technology has really changed the “game” for criminals and law enforcement. 5y
Chrissyreadit I would never rule out looking at or using any pattern, but would not use it as my only source either. I think people are motivated and influenced subconsciously in many ways. That does not mean I believe an astrological chart was a solid prediction factor, but that there could have been an early rhythm to his attacks. Or not.... 5y

JacqMac Not completely. But ask anyone who works in a school or hospital if they see a difference when there is a full moon. I don‘t completely discount the phases of the moon and how it effects magnetic pull. TMS machines are now being used to treat various mental illnesses, neurological disorders and brain damage. So we know magnets can alter brain function. Perhaps it is more than coincidence. 5y
EadieB @JacqMac I thought it was interesting that Janice Ott‘s husband heard her cry for help while he was in another state far away from her. I actually heard my mom‘s voice, who was deceased, on the morning of March 12th, 2006 5:30 am tell me my father died. My dad did pass away March 16th 2006. He wasn‘t sick but weird that my mom died on March 16, 1998. (edited) 5y
JacqMac @EadieB That‘s very eerie. 5y
EadieB @JacqMac I know! I woke my husband up and told him what I heard. I called my dad later that morning and he said he was fine and he was sending out DVD‘s that he got in the supermarket for $1.00 a piece. My daughter in VA called me on the 16th and said that she couldn‘t reach him. She kept calling me all day saying the same. So I sent my husband to visit him (1 hr away) and he found him in bed (6:00 pm). They said he passed away 18 hrs ago. 5y
EadieB @JacqMac my daughter had received DVD‘s and mine were in my mailbox too that day and when I called everyone to tell them he passed away, they said they were watching the dvd that he sent them. I still have mine in the envelope. Titles: Pajama Game (he was found in his pajamas) royal wedding - Fred Astaire - on bottom of cover says: “young hearts take flight” and The Lady Vanishes! (edited) 5y
Librarybelle I don‘t think the moon patterns really had anything to do with it, but like @JacqMac indicated, there are stories of odd behavior spiking during a full moon. I see it all the time at the library - the strangest stuff and the angriest people tend to come in on the day of a full moon. 5y
EadieB @Librarybelle That‘s very interesting! 5y
JaclynW @Librarybelle Interesting. I do believe there's something to behavior and Moon phases (weather too). I notice it as a teacher and mother. @JacqMac @Chrissyreadit I believe as you do. I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket so to speak. But I wouldn't completely discount the astrological aspect either. @EadieB I found Janice's husband's experience interesting as well. Your experience is something too! Wow! 5y
EadieB @JaclynW When I read it, it put more credence in my experience because sometimes you say to yourself, “did that really happen?” That‘s why I told my husband right away. 5y
JaclynW @EadieB For sure! 5y
Chrissyreadit @EadieB that must give you a very different perspective too! I def see a difference in behavior during a full moon. It‘s as though behaviors are more intense. (At work) 5y
Crazeedi @EadieB I'm so sorry for your loss. And yes I think the moon and tides do affect people. I can't say this was why Ted killed when he did, but we are definitely influenced by the natural order of things. It's very comforting that you felt your mom when you did, and I think your mom was waiting for your dad❤️ 5y
