#LMPBC #GroupT #Round9

@Hazel2019 Thanks! I got my book back today. Can‘t wait to read the other book you have enclosed! You definitely know what type of books I love to read! Thanks again!

@EH2018 Erika, Thanks so much for the feather bookmark which was enclosed in my book. It is just the right size to slip easily into a book and quite pretty!

I have enjoyed reading with all of you and hope we can pair up again soon! Thanks!

pitou215 I really enjoyed blood orange! Have a great read! 3y
EadieB @pitou215 We have all read it already and the book has returned back to me with personal comments. That‘s how this book group works. Check out the hash marks for more info. This was a very fun group! You should join when there is an opening in a few months! (edited) 3y

HappilyEverKrafter I still haven‘t sent yours back to you either! 😳 I‘m 10 weeks pregnant, and I don‘t have the energy and am feeling too sick to be on the ball about anything. But I promise it‘ll make it back to you!!! 3y

Pickpick

Tells of the start of the hotel in 1898 and the sale in 1979 to Egypt's Mohamed Al Fayed but centers mostly on the WWII years of 1941-45 and all the famous people such as; Marcel Prost, Hemingway & his wife Martha Gelhorn, Fitzgeralds, royalty, Churchill, and the German officers during the occupation of Paris. I found the book very fascinating and need to read more about the people and events involved. Recommend to those who enjoy history.

Pickpick

This is the story of a woman who creates and sheds new identities as she crisscrosses the country to escape her past. From heart-stopping escapes and devious deceptions, we are left to wonder…can she possibly outrun her past? One thing for sure; the ride will leave you breathless. This is a psychological suspense that will keep you turning the pages. This is my first Lisa Lutz book but won't be my last. Highly enjoyable book. Recommended.

suvata Sounds good so I added it to my TBR 3y
EadieB @EH2018 I‘ll be mailing your book back to you by this weekend. 3y

PurpleTulipGirl Having read the Spellman series from her, this was a harder read for me. It was good, but it wasn‘t my favorite of hers. 3y
EadieB @PurpleTulipGirl what was your favorite? 3y
PurpleTulipGirl Probably the first Spellman book. 3y
EadieB @PurpleTulipGirl Thanks! I'll read that one first. (edited) 3y

Someone noted and asked, “what‘s the difference between beef tea and broth or soup?” So I looked it up. Beef tea is made from actual boiled and steeped beef, or a concentrate such as Bovril; broth is made from the bony pieces and scraps; stock and broth are made similarly, but stock is an unseasoned ingredient in a dish whereas broth is usually seasoned and can be a meal in itself. https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/beef-tea-395253
