This was my favorite book from #October. There‘s all kinds of representation, which I think is great! The 2 MCs are fabulous, and their supporting cast of characters are just as much so. A great read!

Crinoline_Laphroaig Loyed this one! But in October my Fangirl Heart picked 2w
OriginalCyn620 @Crinoline_Laphroaig I haven‘t heard of that one but it sounds good! Will have to check it out. I‘ve read one Carriger before and really enjoyed it! (edited) 2w

#12Booksof2021 #October

October was a month of stand out novellas for me. Rizzio was my favourite: fast-paced, intense, political intrigue with a side of wit.

Honourable mentions:
📚 All Systems Red (Murderbot is awesome)
📚 A Spindle Splintered

Barbara Pym was one of those writers I've known of forever but never got around to reading. That changed this year with some encouragement from @Centique @LeahBergen @Cathythoughts and @Ruthiella I loved this book and its sort of sequel Less Than Angels.
@Andrew65

Ruthiella Always pleased to have another convert to the Pymverse! ❤️ 2w
Centique Yay! So glad you‘re a Pym fan too 💕 2w

I don‘t know why I was so hesitant to jump into this series. This was a 5⭐️ read for me & I‘ve read book 2 as well. Took a break from it to read holiday books but book 3 is up this month.

kplovesbooks Same! I just started reading it too and am LOVING it so far!! 😍 2w
Andrew65 I need to start this series. 2w

I only read a couple books, but this one about the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb was very interesting. And I've read a couple more by this author that I have liked

Andrew65 Looks good, a new author to me. 2w
Crazeedi @Andrew65 this was the first one I read by her, then I picked up a couple more 2w

Survivor's Guilt | Michael Wood

The second #12Booksof2021 from this great series. This time for #October. Worried how he‘d follow the events of the previous book, but he wrote it brilliantly. What an ending to the book 😱😳. Now waiting impatiently for the publication of the next book in the series (May). #10thBookof2021

Says something that this book beat Stolen Ones by Angela Marsons, Secret Prey by John Sandford, and Dead Mercy by Noelle Holten which are all great books.

So Much Blue: A Novel | Percival Everett
post image

#12booksof2021 #October @Andrew65
I only heard about this author on a tls podcast and tried this great book but have now noticed a lot of references to his book 'trees' on litsy. Hopefully I'll read more by him in 2022

Ruthiella So Much Blue was the first book from Everett that I read and I loved it. I‘ve read four books total now and his style and subjects are really different from book to book. The Trees was very good. 2w
