I finished it and it was fantastic!!! Despite me thinking it‘d take all month to read this 621 page gem, I cruised through it! And, yes, the plane rides to the west coast and back definitely helped. Gothic suspense, English countryside, multiple mysteries and fabulous characters (even, maybe especially the villains). Absolutely thrilled I finally got around to reading it.#litsyreadingchallenge #lrc22 #litsyatoz

Drnkpnkprincess This is one of my all time favorite reads!!! 😍 it‘s massive and daunting at first, but the storyline moves those pages along quickly! Glad you enjoyed it. 6y

I‘m all done with the #LitsyReadingChallenge bingo! Read lots of really great and diverse books, with ‘Born a Crime‘ for #LRC9 and ‘The Strays‘ for #LRC22 being my two favorites.... Finished on a high note with ‘Stay with me‘ for #LRC5.... a fab debut from Nigeria....

KarenUK @Jas16 @erzascarletbookgasm @Daisey @Ms_T @barbarabb @Redwritinghood Thanks all! It was my favorite challenge this year... pushed me to read diversely, but never felt like a chore.... 💕📚 6y
BarbaraBB I don‘t know that challenge, but it seems great. Do you know if someone is organizing this? 6y
KarenUK @barbarabb it was @Jessica who organized it.... I really liked the categories... there is a good reads group for it too 👍 6y
BarbaraBB Thanks! I found @jessica and the challenge. I hope there‘ll be one in 2018 again! 6y
jessberk13 @BarbaraBB @karenuk I'm working on the prompts for next year! Send your ideas my way! 6y
BarbaraBB @jessica Great! I don‘t know what prompts you‘ve already used but perhaps something like this: about islam / dystopian / World War 1 / written in the year you were born / about survival / about adultery / by an author you‘ve never read a book before / winner of a literary price / originally written in French / set in Japan .... just some ideas 😀, as I said I haven‘t played before so maybe I am all wrong! 6y
KarenUK @jessica @barbarabb a few more ideas.... a travelogue, a book of poetry written in the last year, a gothic classic, Set in the 80‘s, a romance novel, set in a boarding school, a book on mindfulness, a fiction or non fiction about sports.... 6y
BarbaraBB @KarenUK Great choices! I immediately start thinking what books should go with these! 6y
jessberk13 @Barbarabb @KarenUK noted!!! Took a screen shot so I have these ideas!! 6y
BarbaraBB @jessica Looking forward to the new challenge. Good luck with making it! 6y

Wow! I just plowed through this book in less than 2 days! I couldn't put it down. I find it fascinating that you never know what goes on behind closed doors. The secrets!! I set my TV to record the series when it started, so now I'm looking forward to watching and comparing. #LitsyReadingChallenge #LRC22 Recommended by a friend and others...

My fave read of 2017 so far. Loved this story of an artists commune, set in 1930's. The writing is gorgeous, lush with detail. This story is full of art and glamor on the surface, barely hiding the neglect, egotism and petty jealousies below. And the cast is full of flawed and fascinating characters. So good! #LRC22 Rec by bookriot...a reading list for my all time favorite album... http://bookriot.com/2016/11/25/joni-mitchells-blue-a-reading-list/
