Pickpick

Need to reread when i have long looms to try out the patterns. Seems more complicated than round looms.

Pickpick

First off, The Space Between Worlds is an absolutely phenomenal book. Beautifully written and I highly suggest you pick it up. While it discusses the multiverse and has other facets of sci-fi the book is just a masterpiece.

4 weeks, 7 audio books and the finished blanket. Not bad for a first attempt!
Book titles will be in a comment below

BlueMoonJ Books listened to while making the blanket: Devolution by Max Brooks, Furious Hours by Casey Cep, The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix, Armada by Ernest Cline, The Whisper Man by Alex North, The Word is Murder by Anthony Horowitz and The Space Between Worlds by Micaiah Johnson 3y

I finished my scarf and now attempting my first ever hat for #loomknitting I think I underestimated the level on this one but here we go on another #knitting adventure

Sace Good luck! 6y
Bostonmomx2 I saw a kit at B&N tonight and considered it. Is it fun? 6y
Debiw781 @Bostonmomx2 I think it‘s fun and there are so many options you can do if you choose. I can see where some might thing it‘s tedious too though as some of it is repetitive. To me it‘s much easier than trying to knit with the two needles. 6y
Bostonmomx2 @Debiw781 I mean if you think about it, crocheting and knitting are extremely tedious and repetitive. 6y

#goals I‘m trying to teach myself to #crochet although still #knitting my scarf via #loomknitting

Sace Good luck! Crochet is so much fun. 6y
Debiw781 @RestlessFickleBookHoarder thanks! I‘m excited about learning and experimenting 😊 6y
Sace @Debiw781 do you know about Ravelry? https://www.ravelry.com 6y
Linear I tried it once, my dad walked by and tugged once on the yarn and the whole thing came undone. So I rage quit . My mom is crazy good at it though. 6y
Larkken Do you have this one? If you can ignore the title, it's the most helpful reference I've found for little tips on how to get started and keep going 6y

Remembering my Aunt Katherine today as I‘m loom knitting. She gave this loom to me many years ago when I was just a teenager. And funny story... I‘ve always wanted to learn how to knit but only realized today that this is knitting, just on a loom 😂

CouronneDhiver Looks great 👍🏽 6y
Debiw781 @CouronneDhiver thanks! I hadn‘t picked it up in years and pulled it out today. I‘ve messed up a couple times but it blends in I think. 6y
readordierachel That's so neat! 6y

Debiw781 @readordierachel Thanks!! 😊😊 6y
Lauram I have a loom like this somewhere. When I was in the 5th grade, our teacher let us make scarves for what seemed like (and probably was) hours each day. 6y
Debiw781 @Lauram it‘s surprising how relaxing it is! 6y
Kaye Can you explain more about this ? Do you just go back and forth , looping the yarn up and down each row, or twisting it first in some way ? I‘ve never seen one of these. I‘ve seen the more modern round plastic ones in the store but never tried using one. Also do you have a picture of the finished scarf ? 6y
Debiw781 @Kaye You can do several different kinds of stitches but the one I did wrapped around each post in a figure 8, then a second similar wrap. You then pull the bottom one over the top on each peg and then repeat till it‘s done. I‘m doing my first round one now. I‘ll post a pic of the finished scarf and tag you 😊 6y
Debiw781 @Kaye here‘s a video that is similar to what I did https://youtu.be/2Dwlo9yHA18 6y
Kaye Thanks for the video. It looks pretty easy and like it‘d be fun. Maybe I‘ll give it a try this winter sometime. 6y
Debiw781 @Kaye The basics are easy and I find it relaxing. You can make it more complicated with different patterns. 6y
