An African Prayer Book | Desmond Tutu

Pickpick

One of the fighters to end apartheid died this past December and I wanted to honor him by reading one of his books. Not to mention, it worked for many challenge prompts. This book includes prayers and poetry from all types of religion, including those that worship nature and ancestors. #Booked2022 #aboutreligion @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft #ReadingAfrica2022 #CongoBrazzaville #CongoKinshasa #Ethiopia #Ghana #Kenya

One little man was so wound up waiting for Santa that he just wouldn't stop moving! Sound asleep and I have a laundry list six miles long before I get a bit of rest. I hope everyone doesn't mind but I'm going to hold off on my #Jolabokaflod and #CreepyChristmas packages until tomorrow night. I just don't think I can give them the attention they deserve today 🥱

Happy Holidays to All!!

Listening to the broadcast of Nine Lessons & Carols from King‘s College Chapel, Cambridge is one of my favorite parts of Christmas Eve. Wishing all who celebrate a very Merry Christmas!

Meh, At first was Interesting but the second half of the book was boring. Way to bogged down In the metaphors and symbols of Revelation. Which if you like that then you will enjoy the book. I was interested in how the Mass mimics Revelations and that part of the book was interesting.
I feel like he could just of ended it there. Anyway I‘m not a catholic so don‘t take my review as gospel , pun intended.

This was an interesting book to read in the midst of our current time where there has been much quarantine and isolation. I agree with the premise of the book that need to be with people in order to really be known and to grow in our faith. I enjoyed the book and felt that it gave me encouragement and more to think about. It did get a little long for me toward the end.
