I recently found a group of letters from my grandmother to my mother. In this one, Gram is extolling her ability to read and watch TV at the same time, in order to get a book done in a week. Now I know where I inherited that skill!! 👊🏻📚🤪

ljuliel I‘m with @rubyslippersreads I used to be able to read when everyone was home, I was making supper and the tv was on. Now I need absolute quiet or I can‘t concentrate. Also it‘d be really neat to have a grandma and mom who liked to read. 4y

rwmg I'm another one who used to be able to do that but not any more. Even music is distracting unless it's sung in a language I don't know 4y
