pickI found the first half of the book to be a slow-read but from the middle to the end it was a unputdownable page-turner. I did not see the twist at the end and it was a definite surprise and made up for the slow beginning. I would recommend this book to those who like psychological thrillers about lies and relationships.

Mary is indeed annoying, but I feel like this is one place in the book that really makes sense to me given the original characters. (Though I still think #MaryWasRetconned.) I can see what happened with Edmund affecting her like this. 10mo
