Hi friends- I have a very important question: many of us are in multiple swaps- but I just realized there is a risk of getting same book another match has chosen. Any ideas on how to work around this? #happyhollowswap #cozyswap #basicwitchswsp #allhallowsreadswap

GreenGrl87 I was thinking that too... no idea, unless people use Amazon wish lists since they remove purchased items (I believe) 4y

BarkingMadRead I think if the swap had a line asking for specific requests that‘s helpful, because you can ask for different books in different swaps 4y

JamieArc I‘m a little nervous about that too, since there are so many swaps going on right now! I thought I got gift receipts but when the books arrived, I didn‘t see any. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 4y

LibrarianRyan Don‘t care. It would not be the first time I recieved duplicates or books I already owned/read. I have received no less than 4 copies of Dark matter by couch and pride. I had DM from Book Expo and Pride from Owlcrate and BEA. My extra copies went to teachers and local schools who needed copies. I‘ll keep up that tradition. If a swap required I have an Amazon wish list, I‘d not participate. 4y

LibrarianRyan The other thing, the swaps are different. I‘m doing 4 and didn‘t get a single person the same books. You can get witch books that are not Halloween/horror and I didn‘t do anything Halloweenish for cozy. Not a single thing but candy marched in any of my packages. 4y

MaleficentBookDragon @BarkingMadRun I do the same. That‘s why I usually request people check out my #Goodreads wish lists. I have a different one for each swap. Sometimes I get duplicates. If that happens I pass the books along to someone else. (edited) 4y

StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego I worry about that too, especially at Halloween. Not so much because I dont want multi copies, but because I would feel bad that people went to the effort to get me a book and I can only read one. Ya know? I try to ask for different books when I fill out my forms. So far I haven't gotten the same book twice. 4y

Gissy It is so risky. I try to combine new and old titles from my match list. But I wish we could know which books were already chosen by others matches. I don't want to give duplicate books to my match and I don't want to decide which copy I will keep in case i receive double copy. Can we check in GR or Litsy which books were selected? I hope we could have a system to track this situation. 4y
