A brilliant read. An account of Cheyenne & Arapaho tribes living in Oakland, grappling with substance abuse, broken families, violence, poverty, unemployment. The characters are richly developed, the narration is fast paced, and the way everything gets tied is neat.

Cinfhen I was really impressed with this book but I agree, I was confused at times and I felt like his writing was very uneven. I was not a fan of the ending but I‘m certainly a fan of Tommy Orange🧡 5y

Neal first came to my attention thru @Meredith3 on IG. His account is crimescenecleaners and trust me, it‘s not for those with a weak stomach.
