We don't care that we spent the equivalent of a week's worth of groceries buying ourself almost daily treats last month. We're living in a hellscape and life is made bearable by boba, oreos, cheetos, cupcakes, brownies, croissants, parmesan garlic potato chips, ice cream.....

Well that was a several-day pain in the .....

I will never make these ribbon cookies again. The only good thing is several of them were, by default, too ugly to gift so I ate enough of them to feel a little sick.

Went to town making cookies this year! Chocolate gingerbread and Finnish cardamom (thanks to @Bookwormjillk !) modified to be GF and dairy-free, sugar & spice, snickerdoodles, and no-bakes modified from my great-grandma's recipes to be GF and dairy-free, and sugar cutouts filled with gluten and butter at a decorating station (not pictured).

ImperfectCJ @catiewithac Thanks! I should post the photos of the cutouts I tried to decorate. I mixed the royal icing too thin, and the poor snowman's face migrated. It would be better suited to a different holiday. Truly nightmare-inducing. 11mo
