I don't read a ton of #chillsandthrills but this is an insanely popular horror novel that I made it through. I do not get the hype and thought this was more ridiculous than scary. Also, just completely pretentious honestly, but I know I'm in the minority here. #riotgrams

Still Life: A Chief Inspector Gamache Novel | Louise Penny

I really enjoyed this murder mystery with Chief Inspector Gamache investigating in the small town of Three Pines. It‘s cosy and a little like Miss Marple meets Midsomer Murders in Quebec, with plenty of Scotch, Cinzano and brioche thrown in. A comfy but pacy read, just what I felt like. I picked it early on but that didn‘t spoil the #chillsandthrills & it still kept me guessing. Simple characters & plain writing but hits the mark. #uncannyoctober

The Visitors | Catherine Burns

Took well over 100 pages for some mild chills and minor thrills and I nearly bailed, but I'm chugging along. Burns has held my attention so I've got to know how this ends....

Love the entire feel/composition of your picture - the eerie darkness of the background in contrast with the subtle spots of light... the pops of color from your nail polish and the book cover... even your determination to stick with the story.
