PuddleJumper Looks great! 4mo
Amiable I‘d love to do something like this but my phobia of snakes recoils from the idea. 😬😀 4mo
MaleficentBookDragon @Amiable 😹 I actually could never make a bookWORM because they gross me out so much. I‘d rather a snake any day. Crazy 🤪 right? 4mo
Amiable @MaleficentBookDragon We all have our own phobias! 😄 4mo
HeyT I'm also making a book snake this year. Unfortunately, I'm like twenty books behind. I think I'm going to go to my local library's knitting circle to try and catch up. 4mo

While I've collected most of my books due to loving history and information, I must admit, there's several I've gotten due to nostalgia.

Kitta Oh yay! That‘s great I‘ll save it to my ravelry. 10mo
Kitta Is the magic loop method hard? I usually use dpns but I don‘t have the right size right now. 10mo
MaleficentBookDragon @Kitta I cannot used DPNs. I am not coordinated enough. I used to do magic loop but I tended to get laddering. I found a great alternative. I use FlexiFlips. They are the best of both. I use them for all small circumference knitting. https://youtu.be/IgzMgqT-2Qs 10mo
Kitta @MaleficentBookDragon oooh I‘ll check those out! 10mo
MaleficentBookDragon @Kitta they are not cheap but I love them. I‘ve also used HiyaHiya Flyers. The metal ones are SHARP, if you like sharper tips. If you get them let me know if you like them. They were a game changer for me. 10mo
CatLass007 A friend of mine uses circular needles for everything. No DPNs, no regular knitting needles, whatever those are called. Just the circular ones. Which I have a hard time remembering not to say the round ones. 10mo
Kitta @MaleficentBookDragon I wonder if they come in bamboo too or would that be too flexible a material? I prefer bamboo needles generally and a blunter tip lol. My old dpns are wood but I stepped on two and broke them! 🤦🏻‍♀️ 10mo
Kitta @MaleficentBookDragon I just checked and addi makes bamboo ones! Edit: So does Hiyahiya! (edited) 10mo
MaleficentBookDragon @Kitta oh yes. I have both. Addi will be a bit blunter. It seems Hiya Hiya likes really sharp tips. I hope you like them.🤞 10mo
Kitta @MaleficentBookDragon the only sharp tips I have are my Chiaogoos and they‘re metal, which I found I didn‘t like. So slippery for what I was doing. So maybe I‘ll like sharp tips if they‘re bamboo? I‘m not sure. I‘ll probably try the addi ones first. 10mo

I also updated my world map for the end of the year. These are all the countries I‘ve visited through books in 2024. I‘m trying to get better at geography - hopefully I‘ve colored all the correct places! 😅

So I‘ve been keeping a log of what I have read since 1986. Just dates, titles , authors. No reviews , just noting rereads. What a long strange trip it‘s been.

tpixie That‘s awesome 🤩 12mo
dabbe 🤩🤩🤩 12mo
AmyG I have a list since 5/10/74. Isn‘t it wild when you go back to read it….see what you were reading back in the day? 12mo

Suet624 I was just updating my latest journal. Nothing glamorous but packed full of quotes since at least 2002. I moved so much before that time that I think I‘ve lost my earliest ones from the 70s. It‘s a treasure to have them. 12mo
AnnCrystal That's awesome, just began mine in 2023. 📚📔💝. 12mo
Hooked_on_books Mine goes back to the 80s as well, but I don‘t know the date, as I initially didn‘t track that. For years I had a 3 ring binder and loose leaf, as I tracked by author‘s last name and that way I could add pages wherever needed. I would take it with me to the used bookstore to make sure I didn‘t buy any I‘d already read. 😉 12mo
sisilia Wow this is wonderful 😍 12mo
Leftcoastzen @Suet624 I wish I had earlier ones , I used to think I would always remember! ha ha ha! 12mo
Leftcoastzen @AmyG wow ! I had better taste back then I think. I shunned popular stuff . 12mo
Leftcoastzen @Hooked_on_books good old system. I‘m keeping it up despite computerized ways to keep track. 12mo
AmyG Ha! I have better taste now. I read alot of garbage. 🤣 12mo

I always appreciate a good #truecrime on something that isn‘t murder. This one touched on book theft which was interesting to learn about. My favorite part was probably talking about initiatives the professional organization took to crack down on theft.

So it‘s been a while since I‘ve been on here but I‘m really hoping to get back to using this app. Here‘s a stack of some of the books I‘m currently reading. I think I‘ll be able to get the nonfiction finished today or tomorrow 🤞
