pickA group of boys keeps a scorecard about who touches girls the most. Nobody believes her or really cares. She doesn't want to bother her mom with her issues, so she keeps her thoughts inside. She learns karate, and that becomes her outlet. Illuminates issues of problems in today's world that will probably never go away. The characters are convincing and credible. The story can help talk about things that are hard to talk about.

I read this years ago and gave it four stars, but I actually don‘t remember reading it. Still, I think it‘s the only Z book I‘ve read in the past few years.

so-soIt was great to read a book about true friendship between young boys. I do wish there was a more positive resolution for the bullies. Many serious topics were brought up but then never fully resolved.
pickI know I was harsh on an earlier review I did for a book this author penned. And I like to read a second title sometimes just in case the book simply wasn‘t my cuppa. I‘m so glad I did. I LOVED this book. These characters are so complex and different and likable. Have Kleenex handy! And be prepared for the heat level of some of these scenes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
