Fascinating facts about all kinds of insects, written in a entertaining style that had me reading passages aloud to my sister as we drove to and from her farm. If you‘ve ever wondered what use there can be for mosquitoes, wasps and ants, read this persuasive book. Translation from Norwegian by Lucy Moffatt. #WomenInTranslationMonth

How about a #WeekendlyForcast? I was looking ahead and made a collage early.👍🏻

Enjoying Small Angels as I continue getting into gothic fiction. Really looking forward to One‘s Company arriving tomorrow. Excited about Elena in print too for #WomenInTranslationMonth.

On audio, I had to jump on Pathological, which is today‘s Audible daily deal. I also have two fantasy (crazy for me!) and some true crime (also unusual). 🤞🏻 it comes together! ⬇️

Megabooks @swishandflick made me aware of the Book Outlet fiction sale, and I picked up 12 books for $68 including tax. 🙌🏻 I didn‘t *need* any books, but since when has that mattered? 🤣🤣🤣 2y
Cinfhen Yesssssss❗️loving all this…. Can‘t wait for the reviews 💖 2y
ChaoticMissAdventures Oh! I have One's Company from the library and have not started it yet, it sounds fascinating! 2y

Chelsea.Poole Looks like some great reads ahead of you! I‘m curious about Deer Creek and Raising Lazarus. 2y
Megabooks @Chelsea.Poole yes, looking forward to both! Dopesick wasn‘t my favorite opiate crisis book, but I‘m interested in what she has to say in the sequel. (edited) 2y
Megabooks @Cinfhen it‘s going to be a good week! One‘s Company just arrived while I was making dinner. @britt_brooke was right - the metallic cover is stunning! 2y

BarbaraBB I hope you‘ll read Elena! 2y
BarbaraBB By the way, it takes a long time for my parcel to arrive 🤔 2y
Megabooks @BarbaraBB I plan on Elena for sure! Probably towards the end of the week. Yes, I‘ve been watching for your package. Molly massively alerts us (like it‘s the only indoor barking she does) when the mailman comes, and one of us is always home, so 🤞🏻🤞🏻 it arrives soon. Thank you for sending it! 2y

Cute short story collection about a fantastical neighborhood in Japan. The magical realism was fun and the 4-5 page looks into the neighbors‘ lives kept the pace moving. Enjoyable and good if you‘re looking for some more lighthearted Japanese literature.

Book 2 for #WomenInTranslationMonth 👍🏻
Also works for #FoodAndLit #Japan

mcctrish I got this for Christmas and enjoyed it a lot ( also the cover is 😍😍😍) 2y

Finished So Long a Letter. Good for #womenintranslationmonth and #readAfrica

Finished The Four Winds (at 2:00 am a few days ago) and it‘s another moving #historicalfiction from this author.

I was also a little acquisitive this week and read bits and pieces from several books.

#bookreport

Cinfhen Well done 😊💖🙌🏻 2y
