First entry in #LitsyAtoZ ✅
This book started out much darker than I was expecting and then quickly reverted to being exactly what you‘d expect. I finished this after listening to this week‘s #WSIRN and the guest said she didn‘t like books where the focus is women needing other people to show them how special they are. After that I couldn‘t get any enjoyment from the predictably tidy ending. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pretty sure it took me less than 18 hours to read this including food and sleep breaks, so obviously not captivating at all 😜 I think Anne recommended this on #WSIRN and I don't know why I didn't read this sooner. A present day mystery, plenty of dark secrets, rural 🇦🇺-what else could you want? Be sure to pair with plenty of iced drinks because this will 100% make you thirsty. Or it could be the week of 100+ heat I've had here, who can say?
My most recently read book has the best author's note of all time (come at me). I found this through the What Should Anne Read Next episode of #WSIRN and it did not disappoint. Multiple POV, mystery, plenty of foul play, and an ambiguous ending? Definitely something for everyone! 4⭐️
