I‘m glad we read this, it‘s far better than I anticipated and I can see it helping teens, so it‘s a win, however for me it was just a nice October read. 🎃

What stood out to you?

Also I‘m not satisfied with the not really answers on her parents death… you?!

AmyG I am not a big YA fan so I am happy this is finished. I was grateful it was a quick read. It wasn‘t terrible. 1y

Sargar114 I enjoyed it more than I expected. I love the theme and overall message. Some of the story got quite angsty which might resonate better with the target audience. Overall a good read. I could see it being a cheesy movie or show. 1y

Cazxxx I enjoyed it. I love anything with magic and witches lol. I liked the elemental magic but I did find it a little too YA in parts. Overall it was a nice witchy read and good as an audiobook! 1y

mcctrish I love @AmyG “it wasn‘t terrible” 🤣😘 I kept wanting it to be more ( and yes, what happened to her parents?) but I did enjoy it for a number of things, witches, magic, the climate connection. I‘m not a horror fan so this is my October read jam. I did really love the cover 1y

DebinHawaii I liked it angst, 🧀 & all. I dabble in YA at times. so that doesn‘t bother me. It was a great October pick & got me some big WordSearch points for #Scarathon2022 too.🤗 I agree about more info on the parents & I also wanted more about Alice‘s life & what happened to her. 1y

mollyrotondo I really liked this one. It was different from other witch stories I‘ve read. I thought the issues on climate change and witch powers were woven together very very well. I was very satisfied with this pick 😆 1y
