Here‘s my list, playing for the first time now that I may have figured it out. Not sure if the number has been picked yet. #BookSpin

A memoir of Conroy's time teaching at a small school on Yamacraw Island in 1969. A desegregation coming-of-age story of sorts for him. It was interesting to see the origins of characters that appeared in his later books.

Pat Conroy talks about his lifelong love of books and reading in this memoir, one of my favorites.
Introducing you to my granddaughter, at age 4 (can‘t believe she turns 6 next week), who is my inner child come to life.

Not my favorite Conroy. The descriptions of Charleston were long-winded and boring; and quite frankly, annoying. But the story, oh man, what a story! It was compelling, ugly, thought provoking, gripping, and worth reading.

Starting my first #AllergicToChunksters of the year which also is my April #DoubleSpin and a #BookSpinBingo book. I love when the reading challenge stars align ☺️

This heartfelt collection of Conroy‘s most touching blogs, speeches & interviews is certainly a fitting tribute to this most loved author. Though he passed away almost a decade ago, Pat‘s legacy still lives on in his autobiographical novels. He loved writing, though never considered himself anywhere near the high ranks of his own favorite authors. Above all, Pat adored meeting his fans & listening to their stories.
