That‘s 2024 wrapped up! As expected, I couldn‘t break last year‘s record (200 📚), but 172 is still pretty good for me. However, my average rating is only 3.3 and I only rated 5 books with 5 ⭐️ this year. I blame #romantasy, it‘s fun and quick to read, but usually not that great. In 2025, I want to focus more on reading actually good books.

My most shelved and least shelved books for the year. At this point, I've read Hunger Games so much I could quote most of it because I've taught it in a middle school reading class for years. For the 24-25 school year, I've moved to teach math, and I'm going to miss watching students fall in love with the story.

My longest and shortest books for the year. I can't wait to continue on with The Expanse series. I also can't wait to binge all the Sarah J. Mass has written because I lived the journey ACOTAR took me on.

I had a lot of fun this year in reading. I branched into more sci-fi and fantasy. I had my highest average rating so far this year. I'm really pushing to hit 100 books in 2025. 🤞

I was looking forward to something like Grace Notes in Living A Beautiful Life. The practical things like setting a pretty table and making your bath your own private oasis. This was more meditations and deep thoughts. I ended up using it as an On This Day quote journal. Because of that I will keep and refer back to. The actual book bored me. I've already finish up the year of writing holiday quotes and yearly reminders in it. 😒 #myyearinbooks

I've really enjoyed! Particularly liked the Juniper Holiday series by Leighann Dobbs. I've listened to Halloween Party Murder, Thanksgiving Dinner Death, and Who Slayed the Santas. Up next is Book 4 Masquerade Party Murder for New Years. My Fatal Valentine is on my February stack. 🎃🦃🎅🏻🎭💝 #myyearinbooks

Gotta say I‘m pretty proud of myself! I‘ve read 24 more books than in 2022, although I really think 200 books a year will be my limit. Especially since I don‘t know what changes 2024 will bring.
