I picked this #ARC I‘ve had on my Kindle for ages for #SeasonalCozies because it was set in March. So not really too seasonal at all.🤷🏻‍♀️ Overall, it was a fine foodie cozy mystery. I liked the Grenadian bakery in in NYC setting & the MC‘s (Lyndsay) relationship with her family & the neighborhood. The mystery was pretty easy to solve but that‘s a cozy for you. I have the next 2 books ⬇️

This was fantastic in audiobook format, narrated by the author herself. Some essays hit better than others, and the last section felt a bit like filler, but overall I really liked and appreciated this read. Now off to watch 2 Dope Queens on HBO.

It is true, our world is full of wonders and this book highlights a few miracles from the animal and plant world, the author connects them all to her own memories and sensations, but unfortunately, these links sometimes felt very forced and inorganic … otherwise - this is a nice collection of stories that can carry you in your own memory lane.

Perdido Street Station | China Mi�ville

Perdido Street Station has been on my TBR for awhile now. This is due to both 1) so many books, too little time 2) trying to manage expectations (esp after Miéville floored me with his short story collection Three Moments of an Explosion). Whenever I do dive in I'm sure that I will meet characters who are as #marvelous as the strange world of Bas-Lag where it takes place. #maycharacters @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
