Bk15 in my #MarchBookHaul & #BirthdayBookHaul (🤫) is another NF, this one is pretty self explanatory. Every chapter has trees from a specific part of the world, eg: the americas, Asia, Oceania etc. The illustrations are beautiful & you can see the passion of the author in his descriptions of each tree & it‘s characteristics. Highly interesting & full of facts.🌳 #saveourforests

Wolf Hall | Hilary Mantel

Bk14 of my #MarchBookHaul & #BirthdayBookHaul (yes, I know I have a problem) is the 1st book in the Cromwell series by Mantel. I think I‘m one of the few that hasn‘t read it yet, I‘m not usually a huge historical fiction reader, especially set so far back, but I enjoyed Shadow Of Night by Deborah Harkness which is set in the same time period so I thought I‘d give it a go. Plus the hubby bought it for me for my birthday, bless him.

Suet624 I‘ve not read it yet either. 😊 4y
thewallflower0707 Looking forward to read your opinion. I would also like to read the book but am a bit scared because of its length. 4y
Cinfhen Great photo 😍I bailed on this one because I couldn‘t concentrate and my knowledge of the Royals is 💩 4y

Bk12 of my #MarchBookHaul & #BirthdayBookHaul (don‘t judge me🤦🏻‍♀️) is another NF, a true crime about a Native American woman‘s search for the killer of a white oil worker on her reservation in North Dakota. Lissa Yellow Bird is released from prison to find her home corrupted by oil wealth with an increase in violence & addiction. When an oil worker goes missing she becomes determined to find out what happened against overwhelming opposition.

Hooked_on_books I look forward to this one. I have it on hold from the library (in ebook form, I think). 4y

Bk11 of my #MarchBookHaul & #BirthdayBookHaul is the 2nd book in the Sixth World Series. The continuing adventures of Dinè monster hunter Maggie Hoskie has reviews calling it better than the 1st novel which won & was nominated for several awards. I‘m trying to avoid blurbs etc as I haven‘t started the series yet, but I have high hopes for this.

Schnoebs I‘m so excited to get my hands on this book but I‘m trying to make a dent in my current bookcases but I might give in at some point next week lol 4y
Crazeedi I love your owl! 4y
Lizpixie @Schnoebs I know exactly how you feel, I used the excuse of it being my birthday month! @Crazeedi thank you! I was gifted her in a swap from @Robothugs 4y

Bk10 of my #MarchBookHaul & #BirthdayBookHaul is the 1st book in a dystopian series set in North America. After a supernatural disaster destroys most of America in the 21st century, Navajo monster slayer Maggie Hoskie must navigate a world of monsters and gods after her grandmother is murdered by witches. It combines fantasy with Native American folklore and sounds fascinating.

BookmarkTavern I really liked this one! ❤️ 4y

Bk8 of my #MarchBookHaul & #BirthdayBookHaul (yes I know I‘m just adding to my #MountTBRShelvesOfDoom but it makes me happy in a world gone mad) is this NF about the treasures found in the tidal mud of the Thames River in London. I‘ve always been a history buff, it was one of my fave subjects in school & I‘m envious & fascinated by the relics of it found in countries like England that are so much older than Australia. Can‘t wait to read this.👍

LeeRHarry Heard good things about this one. 😊 How are you going Liz? 4y
Lizpixie @LeeRHarry I‘m doing ok Lee, quarantine is pretty much my daily for a few years now, though not seeing my kids is hard. Just got the flu shot & pneumonia shot so hopefully winter will be uneventful🤞Hows things in Melbourne? 4y
LeeRHarry @Lizpixie not too bad Liz - still working; one week at home, one in the lab - and outside it‘s hailing - winter has started early! Take care 💕 4y

Bk7 of my #MarchBookHaul & #BirthdayBookHaul is this slim volume about witches & the supernatural and what happens to them when fear and superstitions are aroused. Mistress Gideon is a witch, all her neighbours know & she‘s been good to them. But when a shapeshifter goes rogue, Gideon and her fellow non-humans are targeted for torture & the fires. I‘m sure this won‘t be a happy read but it‘ll be intense.

Bk6 of my #MarchBookHaul & #BirthdayBookHaul is the 1st book to Gibson‘s latest, Agency. I preordered a signed copy of Agency after loving Neuromancer, not realising there was a prequel of sorts. It has a lot of the same characters apparently, even though it‘s not officially a series. And I managed to find a copy that matches my library walls! I‘m hoping it‘s another winner, he writes the most convoluted detailed SF, which I think is fabulous🧬
