Suet624 Gah!!! Adorable. I was just reading in The Course in Miracles that true innocence is equal parts wisdom and strength. This picture brought that concept home for me. 7y

saresmoore @batsy She is very particular in her tastes! Except for their shared genetic material, they are about as different as two people can be. I think they will have fun. 7y

saresmoore @LauraBrook Don't they, though! I felt the Litsy love today and fought my anxiety like Wonder Woman! Well, maybe more like Lois Lane...when she needs to be rescued... But still! The girls both really enjoyed themselves, even my shy one came alive. 7y

LauraBeth If Lucy is bored you can always do Duke Tip. We had the same issue with Emma. Her teachers wanted her to take the SAT in 7th grade 😱and they really, really encouraged the Duke Tip program. She's in 8th grade now and taking high school credit courses. With her she'll get bored and realize she can coast on by with zero effort so we have to stay vigilant. 7y

saresmoore @LauraBeth That's great advice. Even after the introduction today, I think Lucy realized that school is going to be easy for her. 7y

LauraBeth School will be a breeze for Lucy. Take advantage of that to just teach her to be a good human - I know you already are! ❤️ I told Emma to view school as a place where she can help others. So she tudors in math and helps out in the special needs rooms. I didn't even know she did that until one day at chick fil a someone came up to me and asked, "are you Emma's mom?' I'm the special needs teacher and she comes in my room and helps me!" I had no idea 7y

saresmoore @Jinjer Right? Lucy has read a ton of books about kids who hate school or get in trouble there, so when the principal came to escort her to her teacher yesterday (a friendly errand), her eyes lit with a sudden panic. 😳😂 7y
