Characters were really well written: I really felt how disgusting Humbert's mind was but at the same time it was interesting to follow his way of thinking and see things through criminal's mind.

This was really disturbing to read but that means this was really well written.

Writing tooke a while to get to used to and I personally can't say I loved it that much.

I think this dragged at some point. The ending was again more thrilling.

Been slacking on #LosersClub reads the last couple of months but I started and finished Joyland yesterday 🎧 I really enjoyed this one. Loved the Mike character 🧡 Probably a good one to try if you want to read King but are intimidated by the volume or scare factor of his other books. #20in4 #LitsyLoveReadathon #ScaryFebruary #Witch

BarkingMadRead You are on top of it with this one!! It‘s such a great first King, I totally agree!! 14mo

This was a good continuation to our last #LittensLoveRomance read The Hurricane. It continues the story and resolves a few things from the first book as well as letting us get to know the cast of characters even better. I can‘t wait to continue with Kier‘s story in book 3.

Andrew65 Well done 👏👏👏 14mo

#LitsyLoveReadathon continues...

I have moved on to A Pattern Language for a bit. Celebrating 5 years of #LitsyLove (although my involvement does not go back that far) is such a good excuse to break out one of the books I've been meaning to tackle more thoroughly.

CuriousG @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I didn't quite make all my goals, although I have so many pages flagged in this book, with facts to pull out in "Hey, did you know ... ?" conversations ? 14mo

Continuing the #LitsyLoveReadathon in celebration of #LitsyLove being 5 years old. Got started with about 15 pages of A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. Will get to A Pattern Language later today, but first heading out for some time with my two favourite guys (partner and 🐕).

So it's been 5 years of #LitsyLove (although not that long for me) and I'm celebrating this weekend with the #LitsyLoveReadathon and setting my own goals, albeit small ones. Goals in comments ⤵️
@LitsyLove

CuriousG My 5 year TBR book is A Pattern Language. I've owned it for quite a while (and was on my TBR for years before that) and chipped away at a few sections, but I want to spend at least an hour going through it and finding a few random facts that I love and can repeat at random moments. 1y
CuriousG My other goals are to read at least 1 more short story from "Lesser Known Monsters of the 21st Century", as well as get at least 20-30 more pages of "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn" read. 1y
