#LitsyAtoZ2019. 23 down 3 to go. This was an okay read for me. I was pleasantly surprised to see William Ritter is an Oregon author.

Oh my goodness, this book! I'm trying to decide how I feel. Is it fantastic? Yes! Should it be read? Absolutely! I just have so many things to say and process about the ending. I need a book club discussion. 😊
Ann Patchett is just so good. Her writing is so smooth and simple but the stories/emotions/relationships are so complex!
No matter what, her storytelling is stellar. Loved this book.

4⭐️ Felt it got a little long in the middle portion of the book, but overall a pretty decent book. Read for #deweysreadathon #deweysreadathon2019 #historicalfiction #bookreview #fiction #bookstagram #2019 #k #letterk #atoz2019 #litsyatoz #litsyatoz2019

This book is too much fun. I laughed out loud through the whole thing. I loved Nina and the characters around her. Great read. 🤓

I‘m so glad that I picked up this book that gives a glimpse into the life of a well read woman looking back on her life in Beirut. Aaliya spends most of her time alone, translating great works of literature into Arabic. Although she has a quite solitary existence, her inner life is so rich that it really brings this quiet story to life. I highly recommend this, it was a great read and my U book for #LitsyAtoZ2019.

While I enjoyed the setting of this book in a riding camp/school for girls in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina during the Great Depression, I didn‘t feel a connection to the main character. Her actions were often questionable and she did not have much sympathy for those adversely affected by her decisions. At least it was my Y book for #LitsyAtoZ2019.

This was the first one I've read by this author and I really liked it. Fun, fast-paced and I liked the main character, David Wolf. I'm excited to read the rest of the series.

“The gods have a great sense of humor, don't they? If you lack the #iron and the fizz to take control of your own life, if you insist on leaving your fate to the gods, then the gods will repay your weakness by having a grin or two at your expense. Should you fail to pilot your own ship, don't be surprised at what inappropriate port you find yourself docked.” #QuotsySept19

#ReadingGoals for September: read 6-7 books (pref. ones I can count towards #LitsyAtoZ2019) so I have a shot at completing that, along with my #GoodreadsChallenge. It‘s been a stressful year & I haven‘t been reading as much as I usually do. Even after knocking 20 books off my original goal I‘m still behind! Here‘s a few I might read this month. It‘s hard to plan ahead when you‘re a mood reader! #SelfImprovementSept
