My January reading wrap up.
Pleased to have knocked a few long standing tbr residents off my list as well as using up some of my audiobook collection

Clwojick I have Unhinged on my list for this month. How was it? 1y
BookishMadHatter @Clwojick I've been enjoying the whole series so far. Psychopaths, violence, steamy scenes. If you've read and enjoyed her elite protection or wages of sin series you'll enjoy this I think. There is a child abuse element to it so check the trigger warnings. 1y

Wild Is the Witch | Rachel Griffin

“I lie down on my back and look up at the stars, thousands of white lights in a sea of darkness. Sometimes I‘m overwhelmed by it all, the vastness of this life, the absolute miracle it is that I exist in this moment in time. How much magic is out in the universe, stretching beyond what the eye can see, reaching distances the mind can‘t even comprehend?”

Whoa. This book is intense. Big. Over 900 pages. A sprawling story spanning decades as climate change catches up with the world. Scientists. Drug addicts. Environmental activists. Religious zealots. Celebrities. Politicians. Storms. Droughts. Wars. Floods. Disease. Politics. This story was terrifying and too real to enjoy; however, the meticulous research, narration style, and scope were amazing. #TheDeluge #NetGalley #January2023

A former NYPD detective reluctantly returns to her hometown to help her brother investigate the deaths of three young men. The story was a bit scattered at times; however, the setting and characters more than made up for it. Really hoping this turns into a series!
