Reads by the River Books and Gifts | Waterford, WI (Bookstore)

Continuing tradition, my cousins & I met to celebrate #IndependentBookstoreDay! We made it to 7 bookstores in one day— our combined haul is (mostly) in the trunk & my personal haul is photographed above! An all over WI adventure & great fun at InkLink Books, Reads By The River, Books & Co, The Bookstore of Appleton & Caramel Crisp Books— we even ducked into 2 Half Price Books (though not indie, I am still desperate for 2 last Sweet Valleys)!

Paradise of the Pacific: Approaching Hawaii | Susanna Moore

I didn‘t do a great job of taking a picture of yesterday‘s #IndependentBookstoreDay haul but I got a good haul. My local indie bookshop, Da Shop had 20% off all purchases, a free bookstore print after 2 pm & a new tote bag with the same print from a local artist plus a few local vendors. So I got 5 books (tagged 1 & I‘ll link the others below), tote bag, bookmarks lots of stickers & postcards from the vendors. The artist that drew the print had ⬇️

DebinHawaii … sets of postcards —the larger ones were Studio Ghibli inspired designs & the small set was of island scenes. I loved the colors of both. I went over my planned spend budget by a bit, but it was worth it. I picked the books that spoke to me as I moved around the shop. And both artists I bought from were really nice—I love supporting local artists.

Beers Books | Sacramento, CA (Bookstore)

Made it over to my favorite local bookstore in honor of #IndependentBookstoreDay (/weekend😅). Beers Books motto is “Still No Beer” 😂. Grabbed some fun stuff and a coffee from my favorite local coffee shop. It was wonderful to see both places busy. Hurray! 🎉

(Cosmo, my dog, was mad he didn‘t get to go and tried to take it out on the tote. He got over it with a treat.)

HAPPY INDEPENDENT BOOKSTORE DAY! 🥳🎉🎉🎉 I've been so excited about this day for weeks now! I got up extra early and went to my two favorite local indie bookstores - Schuler Books and Road Less Traveled Books! It was a blast! They had a ton of free ARCs they were handing out, lots of other goodies, and of course I came home with a huge stack of new books! 🤭📚💕 What a great day! #indiebookstore #independentbookstoreday
