I can say that this book is a light book really like a cloud ☁️🌻
And it's a perfect summer read 💙☁️
I liked the relation between Desi and her father, the cozy family time they spend watching KDramas just like we do 😂
If you are a K-Drama fan this book is for you else it will introduce you to the K-Drama world.
Loved it¡¡
Also I'm so in love with the cover 😍🌻
Hope everyone is doing fine 🌞🌄⛱

I figure that a matchmaker has to believe in a thing called love in order to be successful. I'll be starting this one soon for an upcoming book tour review on the blog. It looks cute and fun. 💙

Cinfhen It does!! 6y
Redwritinghood This was a Kindle first reads book this month and I just picked it. It does look fun. 6y
tracyrowanreads @Redwritinghood I picked it as well. Looking forward to it. 6y

I believe in a thing called love, so I read pirate romances! ☠️⚓️⚔️

Seekingtardis I love The Pirate Lord!! 6y
CoverToCoverGirl This was one of the very first romance novels I ever read and I still have it and have read it many times 😊❤️ 6y
CrowCAH @CoverToCoverGirl it‘s in the pic and to be read, as all of them pictured are! 📚 6y
Cinfhen Is that a genre??? Cool 6y
CrowCAH @Cinfhen technically, no, but I own several so I have! It would fall under historical romance, besides that broad category, there are no sub genres to specify pirates! Arrrr ⚔️☠️⚓️ 6y

#ibelieveinathingcalledlove this book is a compilation of modern love columns from nyt, there are some true classics in it. That column has made me laugh and cry so often. And it‘s now a podcast! #getmovin

Stella is a successful career woman and single mum in her 40s. She has it all together except on the love front. Her friends convince her she just needs a holiday fling and Jamaica is the place for it. But could Stella‘s holiday fling change her, and would that be good or bad?
This seems like a light beach read but I still remember it 20 years later so Terry McMillan‘s doing something right!

Blaire I need to read this! 6y
eanderson Love it! 6y

CarolynM Yes, this one sticks in my memory too. She's a clever writer, the lightness of touch is deceptive. 6y
Centique @CarolynM that‘s a brilliant way of describing it 🙌 I‘m going to add some more TM to my TBR mountain. 6y
Reggie I respected Terry because she has Stella on the beach reading one of her other books, Waiting to Exhale and then has her not like the characters in the book. Lol I liked this book and loved the movie with Angelina Basset. 6y
Cinfhen Fun choice!!! I loved the film 6y
Centique @Reggie I haven‘t seen the movie, sounds like I should! Yes, so funny Stella gives her a critique 😂😂 6y
Centique @Cinfhen I really need to watch it don‘t I? 😍 6y
Cinfhen Yup!! It‘s a total feel good film 6y
Cinfhen And Taye Diggs 🙌🏻 6y
Centique @Cinfhen he looks lovely! 6y
batsy I enjoyed this book! 6y
Centique @batsy wow, more people remember it than I thought! You would have been quite little when it was published 😁 6y
batsy Not that little, 16 based on the Litsy blurb 😆 I read my sister's copy a little later, I think? Good fun (was a backlist reader even then 😂) 6y

Everytime I read a Jane Austen book, I want to say #Ibelieveinathingcalledlove ❤️

In 2009 I had my first real break up, and my parents divorced, so my faith in love wasn‘t really a big thing. I spent a lot of time immersed in books that year, and especially Austen and Twilight (yes, I said it), helped me to regain a bit of trust and confidence in love again. So I‘m a believer in the healing magic of books 🙌🙌

Cinfhen Awww, sad days have brought u to brighter days 😘😘 #booksaremagical ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ 6y
ephemeralwaltz Twilight helped us all 💕💕💕😂😍😍😍🙏🙏 6y
Kalalalatja @Cinfhen well, I was 16 and everything felt kind of all-or-nothing at the time 😅 but I definitely felt like my rosy-lovey-dovey-outlook on life got a cold bucket of water poured over it. Luckily, the rosy outlook has mostly returned 💕👌 6y

Kalalalatja @ephemeralwaltz it certainly did! 😂😂 as a 16 year old, Twilight was LIFE! But it was probably a good thing I had Austen to balance things out a bit 👍😄 6y
saresmoore Listen, I hate the bad writing and the absurd premise of the Twilight books as much as the next reader, but those books got me through a pregnancy and one of the hardest years of my marriage (followed closely by a more mature supernatural romance, but still!). #TeamEdward I also read a lot of Jane that year. Hope is a powerful thing! 6y
AlaMich @saresmoore just askin‘ here, but what is a supernatural romance? Or did I misinterpret? 🤔 (edited) 6y
saresmoore @AlaMich It‘s a real subgenre! Like Amish romance but with dirtier sex and vampires and werewolves and such? 😃 I‘ve only read the Twilight series and the Sookie Sackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. They‘re pretty unremarkable as literature, but excellent as escapist stories for my wildly hormonal self. 6y
AlaMich @saresmoore Wow. I totally misread that sentence!! I interpreted it as, the hardest year of your marriage was followed by your marriage becoming more mature (fine!) and supernatural (huh?). Didn‘t realize you were talking about a book. 🙄 *wanders off to find caffeine* 6y
AlaMich @saresmoore And I have read some of the Sookie Stackhousr series and enjoyed them, and then I read Twilight. 😐 6y
saresmoore @AlaMich Bahaha! I definitely did not make that clear! I‘ve already maxed my daily caffeine quota, so I‘ll leave the original poorly articulated comment and let our subsequent thread serve as clarification. 😴😬 6y
Centique @saresmoore that was a great thread! 😂Twilight got me through a pregnancy too. It was exactly what I needed at the time and I‘ll always be fond of it I think. It has issues for sure but yeah, no shame about liking it 👍 😁@Kalalalatja @ephemeralwaltz 6y
eanderson Jane Austen can fix a lot! 6y
batsy ❤️❤️ The Twilight books got me through a really bad patch in a terrible job; I make fun of the books and myself 😂 but ... I hear you! 6y

A Memory of Light | Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson

#GetMovin #day16 #IBelieveInAThingCalledLove I know this high fantasy series is probably the last books that come to mind when you think Love, but in the end of this epic saga, it‘s the love of three women that is the catalyst that saves the world. Rand Al‘Thor is prophesied to save the world but it‘s his three wives, Elayne(Andoran Queen)Aviendha(Aiel Wise One)& Min(Seer) that keep him sane & on the right path to keeping the world in the light.

Cinfhen Hmmm, Sounds interesting😍 6y
Cinfhen @Trishb almost 1000 pages!!! You in?? 6y
TrishB Liz has already told me I HAVE to read this!! It‘s one of the major fantasy series I have to yet read! 6y
eanderson Sounds interesting! I'm not much for fantasy but I may check into this! 6y
