Really good graphic memoir. One of my favorites from last year. Margaret Kimball tries to learn more about the thread of mental illness that runs through her family. The book opens with her mother‘s attempted suicide (on Mother‘s Day!) when Margaret was only four years old. She also writes about the difficult years of her parents‘ divorce and subsequent custody battle.

As noted in my review, I like that it is narrated in a crystal-clear voice that is emancipatory and filled with a resolute sense of self that can not be denied.
