Pickpick

Between a pick and so-so. I read this book in a day. The writing was very simple and the story interesting. I was not happy with the ending, but I guess not every book can have a happy ending. Follows 3 storylines in current India and how they are all affected by a terrorist attack.

I put my list together last weekend. Here‘s one of my personal challenges for 2020. I decided last year to read more books written by writers from the countries I ancestrally hail from....I made sure to select mostly female writers! #diversereading #proudnigerianancestry #imirishto #imwelsh #gotatouchofcamerooninthereto

Picked this one up for #halfbloodbingo for a book with surrealism. I wasn't sure what surrealism was but once I started reading this I went, "oh, it's this." Very well written and really interesting so far, but there's one plot thread I'm rather uncomfortable with. I hope it doesn't go down the road I think it is ? #bookbingo #diversereading

I'm only about 60 pages in but oh man just reading the language alone makes me all giddy. It's so Puerto Rican hahaha. Compelling read so far. #amreadingyahorror #amreadingyoungadult #diversereading #ownvoices

Started this one for #halfbloodbingo for an epistolary novel (amended from before. Wrong category. I have too many reading challenges going on lol). Figured it was time to finally read it since I saw the musical #amreadingclassics #diversereading #bookbingo

LoverOfLearning I read this in my undergrad. My book review is still somewhere on my computer. I really enjoyed this book. It had so much depth and honesty to it. It was hard to read at parts because it broke my heart. But I'm glad I read it! 4y

Quick, fast-paced novella set in an alternate Free New Orleans. A wonderful blend of Haitian, Carribean, African and New Orleans influences. Highly recommend. #DiverseReading #OwnVoices

I loved this book. The writing had a quiet simplicity that made for the beautiful tale of the son of an immigrant and his family. Just a gorgeous book. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ #diversereading

Making my re-debut on litsy. Starting birdie by Tracy Lindberg for the #bookbingo I'm participating in throughout the year with my cousin and her friends. This one is for the book by an indigenous author category. #halfbloodbingo #diversereading #ebooks
