panOh man, I love a good #CreatureFeature but, unfortunately, this isn‘t it… Written in 1982, this hasn‘t aged very well… Despite the title, the “monster” plays a remarkably small role here. The body count is high, but the real villains are the oil executives & their security detail who murderously want the oil buried beneath Loch Ness before all else! I just wanted more monster & less eye-rolling induced telling rather than showing! Disappointing!
pickVerity‘s dancing persona is invited back for a season of Dance or Die. Unfortunately, the show becomes quite literal when eliminated contestants start disappearing.
I love my popcorn urban fantasy series. It‘s so campy, but so delightful. Verity is such fun, the introduction of Grandma Alice made me cackle, & the Mice continue to be a goddamn delight. I was disappointed in the end, but I loved the world expansion & the side characters!🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
I finished Imaginary Numbers! It took me a minute to get into it, but I loved it in the end. Cuckoo lore! High stakes! True love!

pickBigfoot/Sasquatch isn‘t something I‘ve had much interest in, or a solid belief. I‘ve watched some personal stories about it lately though, and I find it interesting. The author travels to British Columbia to hear these kinds of stories from the locals. He gets indigenous wisdom and many stories; he learns the many names of this mysterious being; he meets other scientists who ask, if we know this creature exists, why the stigma? The book is⬇️

Went to the Coney Island Mermaid Parade yesterday!! Here‘s me doing a hobby of mine - dressing and swimming as a mermaid!
We couldn‘t go in the water because of the lightning (see top left) but we got to get photos on the beach!
