“Whit heard her. Heard her embarrassment. Her pain. Felt it like it was his own. He was going to find this baron and f*cking garrote him. He‘d bring her the man‘s undeserving head.”

Ha! I see that nod to your favorite IAD love token Sarah! This wrap up is about a week late, but there you go! And my review post of this lovely gem is in the near future. For now, I hope you enjoyed this quote as much as I did!😘

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I love Patricia Briggs! 5y
CoffeeK8 @Riveted_Reader_Melissa me too, but somehow I neglected Alpha & Omega until this summer, and it was so nice to have all the books to read at once 5y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @CoffeeK8 Oh, what a great find then! I bet that made for a fun summer! 5y

#AugustWrapUp I thought I hadn‘t read as much as I usually do, but the tally says otherwise! I traveled a lot last month - audiobooks are the best travel buddies!
Total books read: 18
13 Audiobooks
4 eBooks
1 Hardcopy
Finished: 17
Bailed: 1
Leah on the Offbeat wins #BestOfAugust for me! Though it was a close race with Fangirl. I can‘t believe it‘s taken me so long to get around to these wonderful books, but I‘m glad I finally did!

I‘ve read 17 books in August, more than I ever read in one month before.

Among them were 8 Man Booker longlisted books, some of which I gave 4 stars. These two however are my favorites this month (4.5 stars). Both are so original and surprising!
So, a very good reading month, despite the fact that there were no 5 stars for me!

Kalalalatja Well done you! You might even be able to finish another book tomorrow 😉 6y
BarbaraBB No I won‘t. I‘m very slowly going through 6y
merelybookish I'm intrigued by the tagged book! 6y

August brought pretty meager reading - this was probably the busiest month of 2017! I worked into nights, we traveled to see the eclipse, my daughter moved out to the dorms, my other started school...

What I read was good (except for AFAR, which at least was pretty). Overall I enjoyed them but I am hoping for more in September!

Gezemice @kspenmoll I live in central Illnois, we drove to St Louis and we found a small state park nearby tgat was in the zone. It was in Robertsville, Missouri. We had no clouds and we found shade, too! 7y
Gezemice @RealBooks4ever It is good but no rush! My reading challenge required a steampunk novel so I bumped it up on the TBR. (edited) 7y
kspenmoll So happy for you! We initially had clouds but parted in time- near Grand Island of rt 80. 7y
Gezemice @kspenmoll Glad to hear you could see the main act! It was amazing. 7y

I can't stand the color combos I pulled on this, but I'm too lazy to change any of it. 🤦🏻‍♀️😸
