Just okay. The mystery was fine, but the characters were all 2-dimensional tropes. So much so, that I actually wondered if it was intentional, kind of like a spoof of a bad movie.
This was my #ThematicCozies choice for the August prompt #Travel .

Loved this book, my very first Maeve. It was absolute comfort food, but wonderful stories and characters and TALES. I‘m headed back to the beginning of her canon now; don‘t know what took me so long,
I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

“Discovering dead body before morning cup of coffee was not my favorite .”
I've never been disappointed in any of Fiona Grace's novels. Can they be a little too easily resolved? Yes. I always enjoy them because they're a perfect cozy mystery with a little bit of romance and a lot of mystery/adventure. Total easy reads and has proven to be great stress relievers. I finished bk 1 this morning & will be starting bk 2 before bed tonight.

The moral of this story could be: “you suffer, occasionally meet interesting people, and then you die” set against the backdrop of lovely Ireland.
What a good read this was! I enjoy Maeve Binchy‘s stories, where good people often find each other in unexpected ways at a time when kindness is most needed.

There were a lot of characters to keep up with. I still really enjoyed it. I love the Irish setting.
