#9thBookOf2021 Scottoline wove a beautiful story of love & friendship in WWII Europe.

My #7thBookof2021 for #July is The Last House on Needless Street and the #8thBookof2021 for #August is The Final Girl Support Group. Bothe fantastic reads! I didn't finish a single book in #September so I'm skipping the month 😅

I read a lot of great books in #August #8thbookof2021 so it was hard to choose one. But I ended up with picking this because I think this has stayed with me the most after reading.

Honorable mentions: Everybody by Olivia Laing, The Rain Heron by Robbie Arnott, Things I don‘t Want to Know by Deborah Levy, The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohsin Hamid and A Town Called Solace by Mary Lawson

My choice for #August for #12Booksof2021 was difficult as was my best reading month of the year and any four of these could have won, and all from different genres.

Summer Seekers just wins, but notable mentions for the other 3 #8thBookof2021

#12Booksof2021 #8thBookof2021 #August I love how Simone St. James mixes mystery with the paranormal, and this one was definitely one of my favorites of hers. The Guncle was a very close 2nd favorite in August. @Andrew65

This was an intriguing tale which nodded at both The Terror and the Donner party. Plus Greer Macallister's writing is fantastic.

Gorgeous writing and a beautiful sense of place. It‘s a story of a guarded woman and an environmental experiment, reintroducing wolves into rural Scotland. The small town is as hostile as the brutal landscape, and violence and fear begins to threaten the project. Mysteries unravel, questioning the nature of predators and their prey. The nature writing is lovely, and the story of twin sisters intrinsically linked by their trauma, is gripping.
