August's #QueerBC author is Alice Oseman!

If you've read anything by them then drop a recommendation in the comments or let people know what you are reading. This is definitely a popular author and I imagine few of you have read them before.

July‘s author is Nino Cipri. I've seen that several people have read Finna. How is everyone finding this author? Are you planning on reading anything?

PuddleJumper #PrideRecs2025 will be compiled into a spreadsheet soon when I have time! I‘ll tag everyone when that is done so you can find some more books to read because nobody has enough of those! 2w

Kitta I@ on the waitlist for Finna on Libby! I‘m excited to read it but it‘ll probably take a while. 2w
AllDebooks Finna was great, charming and witty! 2w
AllDebooks @PuddleJumper the spreadsheet sounds great. Thank you x 2w
BookmarkTavern I adored Finna and immediately put the sequel on hold! And I can‘t remember if I‘ve read anything by Oseman! 😂 2w
lil1inblue Finna was an absolutely fantastic read! I am going to read the sequel next! 😍 I'm torn for next month: I've really wanted to read Heartstopper, but I am also very interested in Loveless. 2w
willaful The Heartstopper series is just wonderful. Sweet and touching and immersive. I haven't liked anything else by her nearly as much though I Was Born for This is an interesting story. I'm going to read Radio Silence, which I think may be the last thing by her I haven't read. It's in KU.

I have Homesick from the library (short stories.) i enjoyed Finna but liked Defeckt even more.

Butterfinger I loved Finna. So real, yet having a chair that may eat you. So clever. 2w
Butterfinger I have been wanting to read Heart Stopper. Thanks for reminding me @willaful 2w
PuddleJumper @Kitta Holds are so unpredictable! You can post a discussion post whenever you read the book, it doesn't have to be in July. 2w
PuddleJumper Heartstopper is adorable, it balances teenage cute and teenage cringe very well. I've read This Winter which I really enjoyed 2w
Kitta @PuddleJumper great! Heartstopper is available now so I got that haha. 2w
peanutnine Love Alice Oseman! I've read most of their books but this will finally get me to read Loveless! @willaful I thought Radio Silence was great but check the content warnings, it has some darker themes 2w
peanutnine Also Heartstopper is free as a webcomic on webtoons or similar apps for anyone interested in that, no library wait required 😊 2w
peanutnine I read Cipri's short story collection and really liked it. Some weird concepts but really got me thinking! I need to post my review with more details 2w
Andrea313 Heartstopper is really sweet but I'm partial to I Was Born For This. A great novel about friendship, self, and the intense experience of fandom and parasocial relationships in teens. I found it unexpectedly moving. 2w
Zuhkeeyah I read Defekt (the sequel to Finna). It was a fun twist on the experience from the first book. 2w
rwmg I read the Heartstopper books and Solitaire quite recently so I'll probably read one of the others. 2w
Kenyazero I‘ve definitely enjoyed both of these authors. I hope to read more Cipri but have some trouble finding the books. I‘ve read several Oseman, and their work can be really hit or miss with me 🤭 I always look forward to the next one, though. 2w
