pickThis graphic novel was my first read of 2022 AND my first #BookSpin of the year. I loved the idea of a secret society of badass women scientists, recruited in college to do amazing things, and I really hope there is a sequel. This is going straight to the local LFL in hopes a young woman picks it up. 🥰
A real mixed-genre library haul today! YA graphic novel, cookbook based on Outlander, and a poetry debut by a Bundjalung woman. On my hook: just finished a Nature‘s Walk blanket in Stylecraft Special DK from my stash.
pickI wasn't sure about this at first but it really grew on me. There's a college who recruits some of the women to a secret society. It's based on science and they get to go on missions to save the world!
Had a lovely anniversary weekend with my husband, totally chill time at a cabin like Airbnb and even brought our dogs with and all went better than expected. Even got some reading done! ❤️

Another thing I like about this #graphicnovel published by #TheMITpress is that it has a good glossary explaining all the science, scientists, and concepts that appear in the story. #STEM
