kwmg40 I'll have to amend my previous comment, as I just finished recording my latest book and I did catch a Pokemon. Appropriately, it was Koffing and the prompt for this book was “Dystopian setting“. 😄 2mo

coffees I think I joined this challenge on storygraph but I saw they were all bonus prompts, does that mean there's no way to finish the challenge? 1mo

PuddleJumper @coffees It's a fairly relaxed challenge. You can try and catch all of the Pokemon or just a few, it's up to you. It's the first time I'm running this challenge so I wasn't sure if the number of Pokemon/prompts was attainable 1mo

coffees @PuddleJumper I guess because they're labeled as bonus prompts even if I marked some as finished, they don't count toward the challenge completion ratio was why I was confused 😅 1mo

PuddleJumper @coffees Oh! I understand, yes bonus prompts don't count towards the completion of the challenge on Storygraph. I'll get some feedback at the end of the year and figure out a good number of Pokemon/prompts and then have evolutions or maybe legendaries as bonus ones 1mo

coffees @PuddleJumper I see! I guess my next question is...is there a point to joining the storygraph one? Would it be better to just do it here? Lol 1mo

PuddleJumper @coffees It's up to you. I use it for tracking more than anything. I'll log the books on Storygraph then log them in the GForm at the end of each month 1mo

Kenyazero I'm logging steadily and caught one pokemon so far: Perrserker. I don't know yet if any prompts will be tough to fill. I'm not yet at the picking books strategically stage. 3mo

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! So at first I was using one book for multiple prompts, but I've realized that that isn't actually necessary, so my pace should be slower now that I'm using one book per prompt haha 3mo

Whollybologna I haven‘t logged them in the form but I‘ve been adding them to StoryGraph. I have to add a bunch more. I might have caught a Koffing? 🤔 3mo

PuddleJumper @Whollybologna No worries, you only need to log them through the form if you want a graphic thing at the end. It's just easier for me to track that way 3mo

For the first year long #gottacatchemall reading challenge I have decided to go to the Galar region because I love Sword & Shield.

You have to read prompts to catch Pokémon.

If you want a catch card created and updated then you‘ll need to log your books to count towards the challenge, if you don‘t care about that then do this challenge however works for you. Goal is to have some fun and read some books!

PuddleJumper @Whollybologna Yes, you will need to read all the prompts to catch a Pokemon. It's usually 3, evolutions are 2 or 1 prompts. You can use the same book for multiple prompts. 4mo

Do you want to catch Pokémon by reading? Then join this challenge December challenge where you read prompts to catch winter themed Pokémon #gottacatchemall

Basic premise is that you need to read 2 reading prompts to catch a Pokémon. There are 15 Pokémon in total and 30 reading prompts to complete.
