panWell that didn't happen. Can't believe this book has been taking up space on my Shelves for 2 years. At least I can get it off my #AusteninAugust TBR. See my previous post for Rant on 1st Editions.
I don't consider myself a Austen purist. You can modernize, add Vampires, make it Steampunk as long as you keep the Spirit of Jane Austen. This is not the Spirit of Jane. ⬇️

If you're going to write Austenesque you should know that original novels were not written in one book. Pride & Prejudice was 3 Volumes.

pickIf you‘re an Austen purist you may want to avoid this one. But if you love all things Jane Austen like I do this is a sweet read. @sprainedbrain don‘t know if you‘ve read this one or not.
