More beautiful and remote beaches today, as we visited Tresaith, Aberporth and Gwbert.

How has the end of the week been for you? Yet again worked all day today. Meant to take the week off this week but not even managed one day with everything going on. Now you keep hearing them taking about over the Summer holidays. How long before some of us start to break down. 😡 Only just finished working today and it‘s 9 pm.

IamIamIam Ugh, what a crappy day! Hopefully you can disconnect over the weekend! I ran around today, trying to find an open wine store to get gifts for my MIL and SIL. We're getting together for birthdays tomorrow. 4y

Andrew65 @gradcat This week I worried about me too. Especially when I was phoned to book in for the MRI and I knew nothing about it or heard about the outcome from the CT. impossible to get a break at the moment. Even tonight been getting emails from staff I‘ve had to respond to. 4y

gradcat @IamIamIam Well, you can‘t blame him for wanting to take precautions. I know you guys will miss him, but I kind of admire the folks who are taking this seriously...considering some people think the COVID warnings are all a bunch of overblown hooey (is that how you spell that?)! 4y

TheSpineView Hopefully you will get some well deserved time off soon!🤞 Another uneventful day for me. That is two in a row. A record! Maybe things are starting to move toward normalcy though I have no allusions about getting there quick. 4y

gradcat @Andrew65 Is it not possible to have someone sort of fill in for a day or two? It seems like your condition is very dicey at the moment, and the added stress could only make it worse. ♥️ 4y

IamIamIam @gradcat No, of course not. We live outside of NYC so we've been extremely cautious. Last week, we spent time with family who hadn't had contact with anyone outside of shopping and we're trying to stay outside as much as possible. My BIL has 2 kids under 4 so he's concerned that they won't be able to communicate if they're not feeling well. It's totally understandable. 4y

gradcat @IamIamIam I know you‘ll have fun anyway. It will be a sort of respite from all of the isolation. We all deserve to have a bit of fun now, I think... 4y

Velvetfur Gorgeous beach pics Andrew, thank you 🙂 So sorry to hear you didn't get any days off this week, so annoying 😡 I've started my hayfever nasal spray today which has also helped with the asthma, my chest is almost clear, yay! Oh and I did a big 2-hour walk today to start off my virtual Camino challenge, so - achievement 👍🏻 4y

Texreader I‘m so sorry! I‘ve had some hard days and missed out on the three-day weekend here to work. Was so excited to get out of work around 1:30 today. Went home and went straight to sleep! It really helped with my attitude. Take care of yourself! 4y

tracey38 Oh Andrew, I'm so sorry! That just isn't fair to you or anyone. Anyone is sure to reach their breaking point. I need to take some time off but don't have anywhere to go. But I am definitely at the point I just need a break. @Andrew65 4y

tracey38 For me, today was such a hectic work day and I couldn't wait for the minute I could clock out for the day. I think everyone is starting to crack. Plus, it was a dark and stormy day and I just wanted to be in bed with a book. 4y

tracey38 @Andrew65 also, gorgeous pictures. Those places look so relaxing. And yes, we all need a break. Even our patients seem to be going a bit stir crazy and not sure how to handle life at the present. 4y

I spent my birthday and daughter birthday (yesterday and today) trying to celebrate just us 5... while simultaneously doing work for behind the scenes ACLU etc with all the protesting and demonstrations currently happening. School meetings quiet here until end of month . I think my emotional state is exhausted as I imagine yours is. Hoping for clear margins for you! And a NAP! Pics are💜 4y

DieAReader Had trouble with the car dealership (nearest city - 30 min drive away) that severely rattled me in all the wrong ways. gradcat @Andrew65 I want you to know how much I admire you, Andrew...I‘m not sure how you find the hours in the day to do all that you do. Just know that none of us take it for granted at Litsy, and I‘m sure it‘s the same with your staff. Just be safe, try to find a couple of moments here & there to rest—in general, just try to take care of yourself...you‘re special to so many of us....♥️ 4y

Continuing our journey along the coast in Mid Wales. Today we take on the locations of Penmaenpool, Fairbourne and Tywyn.

How has the end to your week been, Today Published letter saying we‘re not reopening the school on 1st June, most of responses been very positive with some lovely comments made. Then at end of school day Mayor announced that recommending schools don‘t open on June 1st. Certainly takes some pressure off but still a lot to do.

CocoReads Sounds like not a bad day at all. Mine has been pretty good. I‘m off today because I work the weekend and went grocery shopping for the first time in a month. Went to oldest‘s for lunch and some moral support (she has ants in her kitchen). Now home and relaxing 4y

Velvetfur I love that bridge in the top left pic! I'm so glad to hear of the positive responses and the support from governing body. That's a big 'phew!' for you, I imagine! 😁 I haven't left the house yet again, don't know what I've done all day but got quite a bit of my book read, so that's a yay 😊 4y

Andrew65 @Velvetfur Book Reading is always good. Struggled with that a bit this week. Mayor takes some of the heat off although I hear some schools still planning to open, we get some credit for making our decision before this. The scientific research that published today is underwhelming.. says less chance of catching it, data last week showed as equal a chance of catching it as any other age groups. Who do you believe! But overall lack of knowledge. (edited) 4y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I'm glad your letter got positive feedback! I had a light work day and a call from my grandmother. Rain is in the forecast and it's muggy, so my pup & I lounged on the grass in front of the library next door instead of taking a long walk. I'm washing up sheets & throw blankets today and shaking them out means I have to sweep, too. It's not fun, but necessary. Then I'll treat myself to some reading time for a job well done. 4y

IamIamIam @CocoReads Ants are the worst! We ended up with a case after Christmas. I think they came in with the tree and decided to unpack! Lol, I got bait traps & sprayed in the basement and we haven't seen them since. Now that it's getting warm, we need to focus on paper wasps that come over from my elderly neighbor's trees. 😖 4y

MittenGirlPeach You made the right decision, no doubt! Having the mayor weigh in after is a definite plus. A decent day here. Coping with 95 year old FIL can be exhausting, but mostly for my husband, who does the bulk of it. I‘m the support staff! It‘s starting to warm up in Michigan, & we were given the go-ahead for small gatherings, though we aren‘t planning any yet. That time will come! Here‘s to a good evening & weekend for all. 4y

MittenGirlPeach @Andrew65 it helps when others have gone through it! I appreciate it. Michigan is improving in terms of the virus, but this week we had dams break and awful floods (not near me). Good grief. Our Governor has been terrific about taking a slow, steady, science-based approach to opening, which we appreciate. And it‘s finally getting warmer! Hoping to get some gardening and reading done this weekend. 4y

Andrew65 @MittenGirlPeach I was amazed and shocked by the extent and depth of the protests, from what I could see she has been doing a good job (looking from the outside). An impossible task for any but certainly she seemed to be making most of the right decisions. Gardening and reading sounds good! Mine will be very similar. The grass is in desperate need of mowing! 4y

TheBookHippie Phew. I‘m taken aback by political things ... however going to try not to get upset. I‘m thankful for these checkins helps so much. Quite discouraged today. And so it goes. Tomorrow will be better. 4y

kezzlou85 Home learning started out rough was thinking Gin by 10am lol but it settled. Been an okay day. My youngest daughters teacher did a YouTube video with his dogs so that made her day. 4y
