Fright Club
Fright Club | Ethan Long
10 posts | 7 read
Each year, on Halloween eve, Fright Club meets to go over their plan: Operation Kiddie Scare. Only the scariest of monsters can join Fright Club-Vladimir the Vampire, Fran K. Stein, Sandy Witch, and Virginia Wolf have all made the cut. They've been practicing their ghoulish faces, their scary moves, and their chilling sounds. But when a band of cute little critters comes along asking to join in the fun, the members of Fright Club will find out who really is the scariest of all! This clever, rollicking read aloud text and delightfully spooky illustrations will have young readers laughing, cheering, and begging to be the newest members of Fright Club.

#ScarathlonPhotoChallenge

This is a fun picture book that is set on #Halloween where a group of monsters don‘t want to let a cute bunny & her friends to join their group as they aren‘t scary enough.👻

Not many #ScarathlonWordSearch words but as a Halloween book & using it in a photo challenge it nets 70 #Scarathlon points for Team #SpookyGhostClub 👻🖤👻

I‘ve got a couple picture books for today for #bbrc and #scarathlon. This was first - very cute story (loved the illustrations) about a group of young monsters who try to exclude cute animals from their club thinking they can‘t be scary. They are proven wrong, and a happy Halloween follows. #picturebook:F #teamslaughter +26

On Halloween eve, the Fight Club meets to go over their plan: operation kiddie scare.......
Definitely one of the better picture books I've read.

An adorable F story, that is sure to make you laugh. It is about a group of the scariest monsters around who get prepared to scare the kids on Halloween. But when a not so scary creature wants to join the club, the other monsters laugh. They quickly find out who is the scariest of all. Ethan Long is a great person to do AS on. #UCFLAE3414F17

CourtneyR http://www.ethanlong.com/read-along The url is a read aloud of Fright Club. UDL 1.2 offer alternates for auditory information. EL 1. Teach questioning for clarification. #UCFLAE3414F17 6y

Fright Club by Ethan Long is F PB and would make the perfect RA around Halloween. The book is about monsters who are trying to prepare for Halloween night and start being interrupted by small critters who want to join the club, they then laugh at the small critters but are suddenly alarmed when the critters scare them and are then they allow them to join the club. I would use the ESOL strategy # 14 but talking slower and clearer so that all

WendyP Students can understand me, a UDL principle that would be helpful to use is 1.2, I could provide the auditory version of the book that is read by Ethan Long and is found on his Website! http://www.ethanlong.com/read-along 6y

We have read this book so much that we both have it memorized!!! I may have to make it a permanent part of my classroom library rather than just a seasonal add in!

Who is the scariest of them all? Not the fluffy bunny, and not the tiny turtle. Or are they? Devilishly fun.
