Love this author, but the MMC in this one was cringy.
This is a slow burn romance. I loved the characters and this author knows how to develop a character and story so that it all gets under your skin in the best way. This is not a series, but there are several minor characters that I would love to read further about. I know a book is great when you are not ready to leave them. 5 ⭐️

I love all of Mariana‘s books and this was no exception. Such great characters and such a great story. This book really introduces Zapata‘s work and I think everyone should read this book.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a quick read. It‘s a pretty trope filled slow burn romance, but definitely worth it. I‘ll be adding more of Mariana Zapata‘s books to my TBR!
4/5 Stars
This is the 3rd re-read I‘ve done this week. It‘s been a Mariana Zapata audiobook marathon. 😄 Unfortunately, I started a new job this week and my commute has been cut tremendously. This is a good thing, except now I don‘t know when I‘m going to listen to my books!! 😄😄 I first read this book in 2015 and I remember it being great. I definitely think Mariana has grown as a writer and her newer books are much better #romantsy #romance
I wanted this book to go on forever!!! I loved it so much. This might tie for best Zapata book with Wall. So great! (I‘ll update book when it‘s in the system) #romance #romantsy #kindleunlimited
Just enjoyed a reread via #audiobook of this very entertaining slow burn romance. Now the two main characters are difficult at the beginning, but their journey is great. I believe this was Zapata‘s 1st book and it began her becoming the queen of slow burn. If you enjoy motorcycles, tattoos and enemies to lovers, you will enjoy this one. #glorytotheguild
I hated both MC‘s at first. She seemed judgy and entitled. He seemed like and arrogant asshole in need of a crash course in feminism. But Mariana Zapata managed to turn these two knuckleheads into an endearingly adorable duo. All the characters are well written and fleshed out. The storyline is well developed. The sexy times are steamy. I laughed, I cried, I spent way too much time googling tattoos that could be from this book.

Today‘s #BookAndNature selection is this lovely Mariana Zapata book, if you count walking around the stand of Russian Olives and my great-grandma‘s wild roses out back as nature. This morning I happily packed up the chaos of my five nieces and nephews to go off and enjoy actual nature with my mom while I stay home to recover from their 2 week invasion of my life. Love ‘em, but happy to say goodbye, lol.

Got up to help the toddler with puzzles and Hurley stole my reading chair! 😂
In 60 days we'll be moving 6,540 miles across the pacific leaving our wonderful little island we've called home for 6 years. Meanwhile, audio books are LIFE while I make it through this mess preparing to pack out.
Another rainy blah day here again so I curled up in my favourite chair and read. Love her slow burn romances with the not-so-usual-romance-characters.
I'm catching up on my #marchreads reviewing, and picking up where I left off finds us beginning my foray through Mariana Zapata's backlist. I was fascinated, reading her books from newest to oldest, to see her develop into such a strong emotional writer. Her first books all have the seeds of what she develops later, and I really enjoyed them. Under Locke is one of her middle books, and it's a solid slow burn. 👍#romantsy #slowburn
How embarrassing! I got my own March stats WRONG! (I blame Goodreads organizing my add date not read date 😂) But in any event, here it is corrected! #statsgeek
The perils of working from home ? of the time - almost everyone else is in a different time zone (and thus a different weather system) so you don't really get a "snow day" it's just another day. That happens to have snow in it. Oh well, it's in exchange for all the lunches I can take during the summer when I go swim in my in-laws pool.
This was my third book by the author. I adored the other two (Wall of Winnipeg and Lingus). This one had a wallflower heroine and a possessive asshat of a hero. Guess this one just wasn't for me. Someone else might enjoy it though.
Dex Locke is a tatted up member of an Austin motorcycle club. Iris is a girl who has lived through a lot of loss and heartache. When Iris takes a job in the tattoo shop run by Dex sparks fly but not in a romantic way. Dexs' brooding and gruff personality clashes with Iris' shy anxiousness. When Iris is put in a danger by her father, Dex realizes that Iris is "the best thing he never knew he wanted" and Iris learns lean on Dexs' strength.

About to start this audiobook. I have loved all of Mariana Zapata's books so far. ❤️❤️ I hope this is as good as Kulti and Wall of Winnipeg. #MarianaZapata #UnderLocke #hashtaggingbecauseican 👏🏼👏🏼☺️
